We were on a baking kick while my sister was in town! We made the easiest cookie recipe. I love recipe’s like this because my 8 and 11 year old can totally make them ALL on their own. We just have to keep the ingredients on hand when they are feeling like they want to bake. These cookies freeze really well too (after you bake them). So we make a bunch and freeze them, so they can grab them if they need to take a treat to someone or to a party. These Red Velvet Cookies remind me of the Three Ingredient Pumpkin Cookies you all LOVE so much. So I think you are going to love these- especially at Valentines and at Christmas.
Three Ingredient Red Velvet Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 box Red Velvet Cake Mix
- 1/3 cup Apple Sauce
- 2 Eggs
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients on medium speed for about 60 seconds
- Scoop desired amount onto parchment paper or greased cookie sheet
- Bake at 350 for 10 minutes
- *Optional- Top with a chocolate as soon as the cookies come out of the oven
Notes
Be careful of the hot pan! But top the cookies with a chocolate as soon as they come out of the oven. You could also mix in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips into the batter before baking. Or make a cookie sandwich once the cookies have cooled completely with THIS cream cheese frosting in the middle! Or even frost them like a sugar cookie. So many options!!
These are some of the best cookies to have little helpers help you with. Or keep ingredients on-hand to whip up for last-minute guests.
Happy Baking!!
