Updated Primary Bedroom with Wallpaper and Red Trim

Our friends April and Matt’s primary bedroom was nice, but it was missing that cozy feeling, which can be harder to achieve with big room! They have a tricky corner window that can make designing a room hard. I’ll show you how wallpapering the whole room and adding curtains made everything feel cozy and connected!

Bedroom Before-

They have a really pretty fireplace, and formal crown molding that we wanted to highlight and make the rest of the room coordinate with that look. She created that accent wall years ago that is more modern, we wanted to remove that and wallpaper the entire room. Plus their bed was broken, so it was time to switch that out!

Bedroom After-

The after! We wallpapered the entire room in this Laurel Gold and White Traditional wallpaper, after it was up I really wanted to make the fireplace pop with paint color. We decided on Preference Red from Farrow and Ball. The color went really well with the golden colors in the wallpaper and pulled out the different reds from the bedding and art. Let’s chat about their new bedding, because it is amazing!

Bedding-

This new Blue Linen Bed added so much, there was a mix-up and I thought I ordered the bed with the arch, so I added this arch mirror to create more of a formal look. Looks so nice and large against the white wallpaper. All the bedding is from The Company Store, a favorite source for bedding! Let’s break it all down-

It’s got to be harder to get out of bed because of these extra soft Butti Floral Sateen Sheets. They feel like butter, honestly softest sheets I have tried, and I have tested a lot! Also BIG tip, especially if you aren’t a fan of your mattress you need this cooling Mattress Pad, protects mattress and adds extra padding…*a must*!
