We Planted a Tree and Created a Seating Area

We had to have several trees removed from our yard after they were attacked by beetles. Sad day when a tree dies. But happy day when a new tree is planted. It was quite the process having dead trees removed, the stump ground down, root ball and soil prepared for a new tree. We did have professionals do all those steps, it was a really big job. The one perk of our tree dying was our new tree is slimmer, making room for a pair of chairs, the perfect spot to watch kids playing and chat with neighbors walking by. I love to create seating areas all through our yard as more places to sit and gather. Sharing some of those areas and favorite outdoor chairs.

Our new Spruce tree and spot for two cute chairs!

I had a hard time deciding on what color chairs to do out here. I thought black would blend in too much with the bark and our house, also considered brown, but again too dark with everything, white would stand out too much. Sounds like Goldie Locks, and these Adirondack chairs in light brown were just right! I love that they are made of all-weather material that can withstand all seasons.

Let’s take it back to what our house looks liked when we bought it. You can’t see the tree on the right too well, but it did cover up a lot of the house, so we had it trimmed, see below…

Photo taken September last year. Notice how they trimmed the tree underneath so you could see more of the house? It looked great, but sadly that was the tree attacked by beetles (if you have if you have Spruce trees, get them sprayed for beetles!).

And what it looks like today! Honestly the new tree is a better scale, doesn’t over power the house. (What most everyones grass looks like in July in Utah, a little dry, but hanging in there!).

Other Places to Gather-

These swivel chairs remind me of the ones around our fire pit. We really did need a swivel here so we can face the fire and then also turn to face the pool.

We love these hanging chairs, last year we had one and this summer we added 3 more around the pergola. These are so great for extra seating. You can use inside too!

We have black Adirondack chairs in the garden area for a nice place to sit. I love having lots of seating options, we get so much for use and appreciation for the space! These modern black Adirondack chairs are a really cute option for a set.

I purchased these sets last year and I still love them. They have held up so well and easy to clean, we just spray with the pressure washer. I really like that they came with a side table. Seating all around the pool!

3 Piece Conversation Set-I have two sets and love how well they have held up. Really nice set, the white cushions we just spray with the pressure washer.
2 Piece Swivel Chairs– These are nice and remind me of the chairs around our fire pit, so nice to swivel all around to face the fire pit or face the pool.
2 Piece Wicker Lounger– Wicker can make me nervous outdoors but these are treated and made for the outdoors, super fun set for seating area.
Slatted Wood Adirondack Chair-I love the look of this chair! Looks so custom! Love how they fold up nicely to store.
2 Piece Adirondack Chairs– Like the ones in our garden, modern look, weather proof and fade resistant.
Hanging Chair– I have this chair and love, I actually have 4 of these chairs! Hung all around our pergola for extra seating. You could use indoor too! If outdoors I would cover them safe for winter.
2 Piece Adirondack Chairs with cupholders– these are the recent addition to our front yard, love the color. These are comfortable and will hold up nice in the weather, made from recycled material.
