Don't you agree that our homes are always evolving? There are so many reason our homes change and grow. When we moved into our home I had every wall painted All White from Farrow & Ball. I love color on walls, but was overwhelmed at picking paint right then, and knew we could easily add color and curate each room as we went. About three years later in this house and we are almost done adding our personality! We recently painted the basement pink, hung wallpaper and painted doors blue, I will give you a tour. Painted Pink Walls- PPG Cool Cantaloupe I have had the itch to paint our ... Read More
Garland- Christmas Garland for Fireplace Mantel, Windows and Railings
The thing I get asked about most around Christmas time, besides gift ideas, is garland sources! I am a BIG TIME garland fanatic and really love garland everywhere at Christmas. I used to buy fresh garland every year, but didn't like how quickly it dried up and just had to toss it at the end of the season. Faux garland is nice because you buy it once and can use for years and years after! Plus there are faux garlands that look just as good as the real thing. First of all, to figure out how much garland you need, I typically double the length of my mantel. Our mantel is 9' long so I use 18' ... Read More
Christmas 2023 in Lola’s Bedroom
When we got home from Fall Break with the kids in Hawaii, it was about 35 degrees in Utah, we could see snow on the mountains by our house, and Lola's new Christmas tree was on our porch. So we did what one does after a red eye flight. We put up a Christmas tree. Lola was really excited to decorate for Christmas she said "hey google play Christmas songs" and we started! Her bedroom turned out pretty magical! We started by hanging garland over her window seat. Lola and Ella have the best view of the mountains, so we needed garland to highlight the view. I also had her window seat made ... Read More

Lights Under Pergola- Grouping of Outdoor Pendant Lights
I have wanted to do a big grouping of lights under our pergola for awhile, but I wasn't sure if they could all be hardwired under the pergola. I finally asked Chad, our friend who is an electrician and he said yes he could do it! He added conduit for the wires, which I was fine with and knew we could paint the conduit black to match the pergola if it was really noticeable and it isn't. With my sisters wedding in our backyard, that gave me the push to get pendant lights ordered and it was so worth it, they looked beautiful at the wedding!!!! This is what it looks like now, a collection of ... Read More
