Happy Monday! I have the rest of our home in todays blog post, the upstairs. This area has our family room and the girls shared bedroom. Oh and I got a new camera, I am so excited about. I can tell a difference in my photos, let me know what you think and if you notice!

Surprise! I have a post for you on a Sunday. I haven’t sent out a post on a Sunday…ever! But I am joining my Seasons of Home Blog Tour and this is the day that worked for everyone.
Today we are sharing Christmas touches in our Bedroom. Now I don’t do a lot but I did make some “winter” changes that I am loving…a new idea to hang above your bed! And a few other fun changes.

I wrote this post because we have had many tears in the morning. And when I look back I can typically relate it back to the fact that we were not prepared.

I didn’t share this pic on my blog today- thought I would share it with just you. Because I do get asked often to see the inside of our closets and where we keep everything. This is the girls bedroom closet. The top row is Ella’s clothes and the bottom is Lola’s. I bought a cheap plastic laundry basket because it can squeeze the best in their closet…exactly where I like to hide it! And a little step stool so they can get to the top shelves.

I have blogged about our master bedroom more times than is probably “normal.” Every time that I have shared our master bedroom you have never seen the ceiling. It is always strategically cropped out. That is because I was hiding a secret. The ceiling was bad. But now is the day you get to see the ceiling in all it’s glory- be excited. And a new ceiling leads to new bedding- rug- lighting, you know the drill. Come see the big reveal.

She is known for her simple, natural and easy way of designing and she does it all on a budget. I was thinking the other day if we move from this house if I would paint our bedroom walls dark again. I think that I would! I like feeling like a bear in a cave in our 10’x13′ bedroom. I am drawn to bedrooms with dark walls. Especially with light bedding for a nice contrast and to keep it from feeling dreary. When I saw Ashlea from This is Mamas Dance sons shared bunk bedroom my jaw dropped! I love the bunkbeds that she built with her husband.
