Guest Room- Maximize the Space- Fold Away Beds and Daybeds

Do you host guests often? Or maybe more around the holidays? We LOVE to host guests. I haven’t always had a dedicated guest room, when we lived in Connecticut our family room sofa turned into a guest bed. Now we have rooms designated for guests and sleepovers, but still, always trying to maximize our guest space. No matter the size of your home you can turn any space into a guest space for a short time. Sharing our tips and tricks, including ways everyone can sleep comfortably!

This is the queen bed guest room. I recently just added some personality by adding and mixing patterns and colors through the bedding! On the Woven Leather Bed I kept it simple and did everything in the Gingham Checkered classic pattern (it comes in three other colors). In this room we can comfortably sleep 4. Across the room from our queen bed, is a daybed!

Beds that easily hide away or add an extra bed-

We have this fold away bed, stored in the closet that we can easy access and pop up! I like that they are only 11″ deep when folded, so they don’t take up a lot of space, easy to take in the car camping or anywhere, and actually comfortable to sleep on! **PS- I had these strawberry sheets on the bed, they sold out, but found these that are similar. Also gingham duvet HERE with THIS duvet insert.**

In the triplet guest room we have these Rattan Beds (similar, mine sold out) and have 2 more fold away cots in the closet we can quickly bring out. The kids love using them for sleepovers. We can easily fit 5 people in this room! Plus we can take these beds other places if needed. I really love the height of these so everyone can chat easily and nothing deflates in the middle of the night!

We snuck in an extra bed on this side of the room! I bought that Daybed awhile ago, it includes the mattress. I love that when a daybed isn’t being used, it’s perfect ideal lounging spot, a great way to add extra seating.

Triplet Guest Room-

The purpose of the triplet room was for guests and sleepovers, and it does get used often, even just by myself and the girls!

Nursery with a Daybed-

Having an extra bed in a room isn’t new to us. Finn had a daybed in his nursery in Connecticut, with a pull out trundle on the bottom for even more sleeping space. We used this daybed a lot for guests!

We also really like this Rolling TV, perfect if you don’t have a great spot for the TV to go on the wall or for a dresser.

Cozy is Key-

I love a really fluffy bed, which doesn’t have to mean a lot of pillows. A fluffy bed means it looks like if you jumped in the bed you would leave an imprint when you got up, and really wouldn’t want to get up! I keep all the linens in the guest bedroom closets stacked up and ready for when guest stay. The gift of a cozy night sleep is the best gift!
