Lola’s Bedroom Bookcase with Window Seat at Christmas

Lola’s bedroom is the first to get decorated, it was that way last year too! Inspiration comes easiest for her room, I think because it is colorful and Christmas decor seems to naturally mix in.

This side of her bedroom is really fun to decorate for the holidays with the built-in bench and bookcase. My favorite faux cedar garland completes the look every Christmas.

I do get asked about her window seat cushion often, I bought the gingham fabric HERE and had the cushion locally made.I have had cushions made from HERE, love the French mattress cushion, which I wish Lola’s was more like that look.

My inspiration this year were these watercolor workbooks (that include paint). Ella has loved painting them. I thought they would be so fun to use as a countdown to Christmas. Paint a new watercolor everyday and hang it up. Also they make for great gifts, they come in different designs.
We clipped the watercolor paintings Ella did on this cedar garland, with these clips. Layered with this colorful garland. Ella will paint more for her room too, it is a really fun hobby for her!
Lola’s pillows are older, but we did add just this cute fox pillow for Christmas.
In her bookcase she has a collection of this light up village, we love to add a new house every year!
And a sweet light up letter with Lola’s initial mixed in with her gallery wall.

Her Christmas tree is this narrow flocked tree (this tree is similar and less expensive) I put in a basket. Really love the magic of a Christmas tree in kids bedrooms!
I made bows from this pink ribbon and this yellow ric rac, then attached them to the tree with these gold clips. And mixed in felt ornaments, we added a few new ornaments each year.
