When we moved into this house I used a mixture of bedding I had collected over the years to make Lola’s bed. It turned out really cute, but now some of it isn’t looking too great. I had the the duvet cover for 5 years, it was in our Connecticut primary bedroom. While I loved that duvet cover, it was falling apart. And after some research sheets, similar thickness to a duvet cover, are expected to last about two years before you might want to consider replacing them. While a duvet insert will last you 15 years (I have had one about that long and it still looks good!). Her thin Target quilt was stretching out in areas too, comforters and quality quilts can last a really long time too, 15+ years! Needless to say, it was time to upgrade a few things on Lola’s bed! And she was very excited.
