Your bed is the focal point of the room, which is a main reason I love switching out our bedding and giving it a fresh new look. With it being summer I wanted to help my sister brighten up her bedding, and make sure it is light and airy. Can’t wait to show you all the darling and comfortable items we found!

We made over their bedroom a couple years ago HERE. We added board and batten, wall color is Intrigue from Benjamin Moore. Still love their bed, it also comes in black. And recently added this rug to complete the look!

Ring Vase // Tall Vase // Lamp // Ceramic Tray // Line Drawn Portrait // Ditsy Floral Sheet Set // Linen Blend Quilt // Gingham Duvet Cover // Heavy weight King Linen Throw Pillow // Lumbar Linen Throw Pillow // Linen Bedskirt

I don’t normally use a bedskirt. Either with the bed frames or beds we use it doesn’t usually require one. Her bed has a box spring and mattress and we need to hide the boxspring. We could replace boxspring with a low profile box spring, but decided we like the height, so we used this linen bedskirt.

We did the same bed in my sister in law and brother in law’s bedroom! They don’t have a bedskirt on their bed, just a low profile boxspring.

These ditsy floral sheets were a starting off point. I knew I wanted to add a fun pattern to the bedding, plus they really pull in the color on the wall. We did this canopy bed, her bed is a king.

Then, I layered a pink quilt over the sheets, this Linen Blend Quilt is really nice and heavy, we loved that after it was washed the texture of the squares stood out more. You could leave this off during the summer months but it is a linen blend quilt which is ideal for sleep in the heat because linen has natural cooling properties! My sister has left it on her bed and said it’s been fine.

Over the quilt, at the foot of the bed, is our fluffy duvet! This is our favorite duvet insert. We did “extra” fill. This mini gingham cotton duvet and sham set, it also comes in a coverlet set, both are darling! We did the moss green color.

Both the sheets and duvet cover came with king size shams, we used these pillow inserts to fill them. Then used these large heavy weight king euros throw pillows. Finished the look with this lumbar throw pillow.

We thrifted that beautiful art above the bed! Always on the lookout for art.

This rug is really thick and comfortable! I love the bright and muted colors.

We are always on the lookout for vintage furniture also. I’m always checking local Facebook marketplace also, I use the word “vintage” in my search search. We found one of her nightstands at a local thrift shop and the other on Facebook marketplace. We only paid $75 for the Facebook find!

To connect both sides I did the same lamps. These have dimmers which is so nice to have bedside.

On this dresser I layered items, first with this large ceramic tray. Inside we have a Pilea plant (money tree) and this nice and this large diffuser. The light settings on this diffuser is so nice! We have Orange and Cedarwood diffusing, our favorites from the sleepy bundle here.

Behind the ceramic tray I added some height from this portrait art.

On the other dresser my sister has a mirrored tray she found vintage shopping that she keeps jewelry and glasses on. She also found that floral art vintage shopping, and has this scalloped detailed frame with a picture of their home their 10 yr old drew.

These modern vases (ring vase ,tall vase )are such a perfect addition for some height and texture. She could even add flowers or cut greens to them.

Love it
