We gave my nephew, Cooper a nursery makeover and wanted to share it with you! It turned out so cute!! They hadn’t had time to really decorate his room yet, so we were thrilled to help, especially since we had switched his bedroom with his sister, Evie, when we madeover her bedroom.

Nephew’s Nursery Makeover-

My starting off point for designing this nursery was the wall mural! It felt playful and made a big impact on the room without having to add a lot of art or pieces. It was a peel & stick application, we installed it in a couple hours. We painted the other walls in Light Blue from Farrow & Ball. Sharing everything else below!

Nursery Sources-

Book Shelves // Flapping Seagull // World Map // Giraffe Towel // Pillow Cover // Blanket // Wild and Free Banner // Giraffe Play mat // Alligator // Buffalo Check Rug // Pleated Paper Lamp // Rocker // Pouf

Then I found this rug from The Company Store, I like how it was a bold pattern that complimented the wall mural.

The bedding on a crib is REALLY simple, now all they need or should have in their crib is a mattress and fitted crib sheet (the pillow, mustard blanket and alligator are just in their when he isn’t sleeping). We got Cooper a really great mattress, it is organic, and has non-toxic materials, plus is waterproof. That is the mattress I would be getting my baby!

Isn’t he the cutest?? I used this organic checkered fitted mattress sheet, actually got him the blue and the gray for a quick switch if needed!

(again, when baby sleeps, nothing should be in the crib with baby, he is currently awake and looking around at his sweet room:)

Obsessed with this flapping seagull mobile!

His dresser we found on FB marketplace for $100. Lightly sanded down any chipped paint, then gave it a fresh coat of paint in Leap of Faith from Benjamin Moore (semi-gloss that had primer in it) and lastly sealed it with a water-based polyurethane to prevent chipping. Hung this leather map and banner of bunting banner.

Love that his dresser fits a changing pad, which most dressers do, no need to buy a changing table. We used this organic changing pad, with this checkered changing pad cover (again, great to have two).

Gave him the Essential Home Diffuser with the kids oils, perfect for a baby, you really only need a couple drops in a babies bedroom to support them. Cute pleated paper lamp for the nighttime diaper changes.

My sister-in-law, sweet mommy enjoying the new nursery.

Loved this baby playmat, perfect for babies to lay and do tummy time on!

We shopped her home and found that adorable baby leopard print.

We set up a little nursing nook, with books that can entertain little helpers until Cooper is old enough to sit and enjoy books on his own. I found these shelves perfect for displaying books, we hung them low enough that little hands could reach. Above we hung the moon art that was in Finn’s nursery. Loved passing that along! They already had this ottoman, perfect to put her feet up.

We hope baby Cooper loves his new room as much as we love him!
I love your design for this room. It is super cute! The blanket hanging over the side if the crib would be very dangerous for a baby. I realize you probably just styled it for the photo shoot, but it really it is an example of what not to do. I am sorry to criticize but a baby could easily be suffocated by that large blanket. Your designs are always so fun and cheerful. I think you are so talented.
that is why I wrote the above paragraph-
