Our deck is coming along!!! We can walk on it! And we could walk right off it….the sides aren’t up yet! Hopefully this week. Yesterday it was well over 55 degrees. It was gorgeous. Finn was playing on our slide, and in the sand and even asked me for some water so his toys could “swim”. Kevin and I were measuring for something exciting we are adding in our backyard, any guesses??!! And also measuring for our deck furniture. Wanted to show you the deck progress and what furniture we are adding. I searched through Target, Walmart, World Market to Serena & Lily and picked some of my favorite outdoor furniture from each of them, you can for sure find something to match your budget! We did!
Our deck is from TimberTech, composite decking. And we love it!! We went with Driftwood (NEW collection !). I will write a full post once it is done. So stay tuned.
We measured out our deck space to see what would fit best. I just quickly drew it out on some drafting paper (so easy for anyone to do- the squares on drafting paper equal one foot). Or you could tape the furniture measurements on the floor. We gave most of our patio furniture to our neighbors before we tore down our old deck in preparation for our addition. We knew our neighbors would love it and needed it more than us. Plus we wanted to do a sectional to maximize the space. Below is what I ordered for our new deck!

Love the idea of decks. I had one on my previous home before we made our big move. I decked it with a few wrought furnitures and decorative plants. You must have a swimming pool to add to the beauty. It will be your favorite family spot at home I am sure.
