First of all, I am so thrilled about this Small Space Living Series. It was inspired by all of YOU and all of the questions you ask me on a daily basis. I asked over on Social Media what you wanted to know and I was flooded with so many good questions. I interviewed about 5 Bloggers (so far) who all live in "small homes". Which by the way is up for debate on what is considered a small home. When I researched "what is a small home?" The answer- 2500 square feet or smaller. It said the average American home is 2500 square feet and less than that is "small". I personally consider under 1500 a ... Read More

Behind the Scenes of our HGTV Magazine Photo Shoot
I got an email from a magazine scout. She wanted to know if she could submit our home to a magazine. I said sure, doesn't hurt to try. I have to admit I was a little excited and hopeful. About a month later I got an email saying they were going to pass on our home. It wasn't a right fit. I was a little bummed out. Fast forward to a couple months later and another magazine scout emailed me. She wanted to know if she could submit our home for a Christmas issue featuring kitchens. I said sure go ahead, but told her it was already turned down by that same magazine she wanted to send it ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with Tips for good Family Pictures on Vacation
We were in Orlando Florida this past week. We went to Disney Land, Universal and Animal Kingdom. I didn't want to do an entire post about it- but I did want to talk a little about taking Family Pictures while on vacation and getting good ones with a stranger taking them! It was an issue for us the very first photo then I learned from my mistake and the rest were much better! I will say one thing- Universal was awesome! Harry Potter World was impressive and we were able to do a lot more rides than we did at Disney because of the long lines. The vote was Ella (9 almost 10 year old) and ... Read More

Remember the Nursery Project Plan I shared? Well we did it! We completed an entire nursery makeover in just TWO DAYS! It was so much fun to work on this FOR family WITH family. We had a lot of help to get this project done and a lot of encouragement from all of YOU over on my Instagram Stories. I am going to share the entire reveal today ... Read More

A little more background on the source of the email.... I got the email ... Read More
How to Manage Messy Cords and Papers
Remember when I shared our new Secretary Desk? Our little office? Well I am here with an update. It was kept perfect and so organized for a couple of weeks or actually months. But once my girls discovered how fun it was to color and do their homework here it started to get messy. Oh and then Christmas hit and this became the dumping ground. Then we needed to charge the phones, iPads and laptop and the mess of cords just took over. So I partnered with Native Union to share how we were able to manage messy cords and papers in our home office...how to keep it under control! Since we ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with Most asked Questions Lately
I thought it would be fun to answer some of the most asked questions today on my Friday Favorites. I get asked a lot of the same questions over on Instagram, because that is where I share the most "behind the scenes" on Instagram Stories. I have to say the that Instagram Stories is one of my new favorite things. But I have learned a big lesson. If something scares you that means you should do it! I really don't know if that goes for everything in life. I guess if it is "good" then it does. At first I was like "nope" not going to use it. I didn't like the idea of another social media ... Friday Starts with My Favorite Place To Go For Inspiration
Do you have that place you go for inspiration? I was talking to my old boss- she owns an entire village of little shops, called Gardner Village in Utah. She was saying that hopefully the world doesn't all go to exclusively online shopping and no need for brick and mortar shops. I told her no way! I am a big online shopper. But there are a handful of shops I love to pop into for inspiration. And typically if a salesperson engages with me and points out her favorite things in their shop, guarantee I will buy it. It is all about connecting and giving ideas! So one of my favorite places to go ... Read More
Daydream Wallpaper and the Legos
I shared a couple of pictures of our new wallpaper on Monday for my Spring Home Tour. I can't get over how much I like this wallpaper and how it really completes the room. I have been wanting to do something above the chalkboard wall since we painted it last year, actually since we moved in. It is a dormer ceiling and painting it with chalkboard paint felt too heavy and dark and wouldn't make sense to have chalkboard paint that high. We also have THIS temporary faux brick wallpaper on the other walls and the brick felt weird to put on the dormer and wouldn't make sense either. So I just left ... Read More
