Welcome to my Fall Home Tour- Take II! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to join in the Blogger Stylin' Home Tours, hosted by my friend Lindsay from White Buffalo Styling Co. and 30 other talented bloggers. If you are following on the tour and found me from The Nester, then let's have a moment of silence for her amazing tour. She is one of my favorites. Thank you for joining me as I share the rest of our 1950's Connecticut Cape with some easy fall decor updates. I have really been trying to simplify and get rid of things that I don't absolutely love or would not buy again today. In a ... Read More

Trader Joe’s Favorite PALEO Foods
A blog reader recently asked me to share my favorite paleo foods I buy from Trader Joe's! I thought that was a great idea. In the past I have shared a Trader Joe's Top 40 Favorites, but a lot of it I don't actually buy myself. It was a "Most Popular Trader Joe's Items" kind of list that everyone loved. But when I personally shop at Trader Joe's I stand there and read all the labels, some I know without even picking up that the item it isn't paleo. A pizza sauce for instance might have some sneaky sugar in it, even sausages and other foods you wouldn't think have sugar do! So if it is packaged ... Read More
Back to School Hacks, Lunches, Snacks and More!
Do your kids love back to school or hate it? When asked this question, my friend's son said "I get pretty excited, but I know that it is fake excitement because by day two, I will wish it was summer again." I couldn't have put it better myself! Sometimes we are guilty of wishing away the moment, thinking what is coming next will be better or easier. This is why back to School is such a bitter-sweet. We love summertime around here. But there is a joy that comes with structure and learning, that we look forward to as well! I actually used to dread things like- making lunches and my kids ... Read More
Quick Healthy Dinners- Favorite Things from Trader Joe’s
The other night I was looking what to make for dinner that would be QUICK- HEALTHY- WHOLE30 or PALEO. Did I mention quick?? Because come 5 pm sharp my kids are ready for dinner. And we really want to make sure they get a variety of veggies at dinner. You know how some families do Taco Tuesday or Pizza on Fridays...maybe that is your fun family?? (I secretly want to do that, but haven't yet). We have Frittata once a week, really it is "mom's cooking" so it's either Frittata or one of the meals below. And Trader Joe's is an absolute favorite place to go for groceries, really it makes it fun for ... Read More
Halloween Decorations Outside, Tour of Fall Porches
If I could turn on a song for you while you read this blog post it would be Micheal Jacksons Thriller! Because that is my Halloween soundtrack! We piled the kids in the car, gave them a treat, turned on Thriller and drove around our neighborhood/area pointing out our favorite homes all festive for Fall and Halloween Decorations Outside their home. If you are new to my blog then I should mention we live in Connecticut, a charming little town that was actually just named by National Geographic as one of the Top Ten Happiest Places to live in the USA (see if your town is on the list at the end of ... Friday Favorites starts with Fall Porches
It felt like Fall for a couple of days here in Connecticut! I think I buy a pumpkin or a mum every time I go to the store, I mean one or two at a time will eventually lead to a gorgeous Fall porch. I just found out my mom and sister are coming for Halloween so I want it extra festive! I gathered some major Fall front porch inspiration photos since it is on my brain! These are my favorites... Chloe from Boxwood Avenue shared this image on her Instagram HERE. I love the entire set-up. Notice there aren't any pumpkins? But is does have a gorgeous Fall vibe and felling. Brittany from Addison ... Read More

Is it socially acceptable to have Fall decor out and not just if you are a blogger?:) If you saw the changes I made to our Fall kitchen you know I don't go crazy with seasonal decor, but I do like simple Fall changes. Take Home Designer Series- New England Kitchen Tour of a Dietitian and her Paleo Granola
Do you remember the show "Take Home Chef"? It was on TLC. The cutie pie Curtis Stone would approach people in the grocery store and offer to go to their home and cook them a meal. I LOVED that show. My favorite part, besides watching Curtis Stone :) was seeing inside everyones kitchen. I thought it was fascinating to see the space that people spend so much of their time in. That is what got me to go to the grocery store after I had my first baby, hoping to run into Curtis Stone. So this is my version, where I go into charming New England Homes and share pictures of their kitchens. And only ... Read More
Healthy Almond Butter Brownies and Nut Bars
I have been making these brownies for years. I just took them to book club and my friends asked if the recipe was on my blog, so thought I should actually share these since I make them so often. Everyone loves them, and the fact that they are healthier than your typical brownie. On THIS post I shared why I eat Paleo. I should say used to eat strict Paleo. Now I eat maybe 90% Paleo- I eat oatmeal and am not as strict while I have been nursing. But when I was strict and whenever I would make a dessert everyone would ask me "Are these PALEO??" before they ate it. My mom...sorry to say it Mom but ... Read More
