Back with the Small Space Living Series today! This 1143 square foot home is so well thought out and executed. You are going to get a lot of storage solutions ideas from The Ranch House Uncommon. The first time I was exposed to The Ranch House Uncommon was from Country Living Magazine. After I read the article I found Jennifer over on Instagram and fell hard for her ideas! I for one noticed that everything is very functional and serves a purpose. This home is not the owners servant, rather it serves the home owners. Really love all the design inspiration. Notice the light above the sink is ... Read More

Small Space Living Series- 180 square feet with Arrows and Bows
First of all, I am so thrilled about this Small Space Living Series. It was inspired by all of YOU and all of the questions you ask me on a daily basis. I asked over on Social Media what you wanted to know and I was flooded with so many good questions. I interviewed about 5 Bloggers (so far) who all live in "small homes". Which by the way is up for debate on what is considered a small home. When I researched "what is a small home?" The answer- 2500 square feet or smaller. It said the average American home is 2500 square feet and less than that is "small". I personally consider under 1500 a ... Read More
Spring Home Tour with Video Tour of our 1100 Square foot Cape
Last week I shared a few changes I made to our front room for Spring. Nothing big, just taking away heavy blankets and pillows and adding some flowering plants. Today I wanted to share our kitchen and the little things I changed. Really, when do we stop changing things? For me it is part of tidying up! After dinner dishes are cleaned up, the rearranging starts. It could be putting some fresh clippings in a vase or changing pillows around. It makes the chores and everyday living fun! The other night I had a somewhat tidy house so I took a video of our entire 1100 square foot house showing the ... Read More

I am going to keep this Friday Favorites short and sweet! It feels like I have a lot of home projects I want to tackle and share with you. A fun new series about small space organizing I will be starting soon. I have compiled a list of questions I received from you about living in a small home. I don't think this applies to just small home dwellers. Everyone could use some new ideas on staying organized and really a lot of it comes down to decluttering! There are so many good tips and hacks out there already but being reminded and seeing different ways of doing the same thing is a good thing! ... Read More
A Black and White Modern meets Vintage Connecticut Home Tour
I have a treat for you today! I asked my friend Annie from Most Lovely Things if I could stop by and just stare at her home and also take pictures to share a home tour with you! Really I wish she would just turn the house over to me. It is my FAVORITE home. Modern meets Vintage style or could also fall under Eclectic. The kitchen just pulls at my heart in so many ways. I feel warm, loved, hugged, inspired and all the other adjectives when I am in it. I met Annie from another mutual friend in Connecticut. We all met for lunch and Annie and I hit it off. We are not the same age, and that is ... Read More
STALL IKEA HACK- Small Space Solution in our Kitchen
Very excited to share this STALL IKEA Hack with you! It turned out so much better than I thought it would and it is an awesome storage solution for any small spaces. After my shopping trip to IKEA I got home and my wheels were spinning with ideas on better ways to organize and utilize our small space. Our kitchen is lacking in a pantry. I honestly don't miss it. We really don't eat a lot of "pantry food" most of our food comes from the fridge. We do have the cans, mac n' cheese and pasta for the kids and I keep a lot of that in a cupboard in our basement. But this little STALL chest allows us ... Read More
IKEA Finds- What I bought and What I Love
IKEA is about 30 minutes from my house. I like to go every couple of months. This last visit I had so much fun! I took some videos while I was there and shared it on my Instagram Storie and put them all and more that I didn't share at the end of this post. I feel like I was more open to looking at furniture and searching for storage and organizing solutions than before, or maybe they just had a lot of really great things! There are my go-to pieces that I typically get there- dish towels, down pillow inserts and white curtain panels. I am excited to show you what I thought was an IKEA ... Read More

Friday Favorites starts with Target Tops and Warm vs Cool Lightbulbs
You know the saying "There is not one right way to do something?" I agree with that 100%. That can go into my bucket of favorite sayings along with- "Done is better than perfect". I thought of that saying today as I was writing this post because it was proven to me twice today (and I am sure even more than I realized). One was with lightbulbs and another with a Valentines Day Project. I am going to share both for my Friday Favorites and some new tops I bought online from TARGET, that just got in the mail and love. TARGET Do you feel like you dress like your house? I think my style ... Read More
