Welcome to our Master Bedroom tour. Don't blink... or you will miss it, it is a quick tour. Our bedroom is tiny about 10'x11' to be exact. I wanted to share this shot (it is not a great picture) to show you that we have two dressers in the room and we do have a TV above the highboy dresser. I fit an 8x10 rug in the space, that makes the room feel larger. You can find my rug HERE This was the bedroom we saw online when looking at the home, and actually all I saw was pictures before we bought the home. My husband flew out and bought the home without me seeing it, ... Read More

How to paint your piano
I get asked about my painted piano on Instagram all the time. I get it, I remember when I had wanted to paint my Great Grandmas piano I thought it seemed like such a big project and way to overwhelming. I would stare at it wishing it was painted. I thought I would have to move it to our garage or hire a painter to paint it. That is probably why it took me 7 years of owning our piano to finally do it. I found Annie Sloan chalk paint after doing some research, I knew that this would be the best route. No sanding involved or any prep work. I picked Paris Grey and picked it up ... Read More
Our love for books and cupcakes
I did a book theme shower for one of my cousins. I loved getting books when I had babies and still love books as gifts to my girls. We can never have too many. I bought an old nursery rhythm book at a second hand store and cut out a bunting banner to hang in several spots using mini clothes pins to attach it to the ribbon. I had a hard time cutting up a book, but I am cherishing it another way! I did the same thing with the music note bunting banner, I left this one up from ... Read More
Cadbury Family Room
This was our cozy family room on Cadbury Drive in Utah. It was a small family room area so I had to maximize the space. A sectional is the best way to do that, no area is wasted. As you can see here my sectional extended past the wall, and that is ok to do. I made sure we had about 3 feet walking space between the kitchen island and sectional arm. Also using a large rug can make the space feel larger. With a sectional or a sofa and settee a good rule of thumb is to always use an 8x10. You can see my dining nook in the background (you can read more about that here ... Read More
