Welcome to our Master Bedroom tour. Don’t blink… or you will miss it, it is a quick tour. Our bedroom is tiny about 10’x11′ to be exact.

I wanted to share this shot (it is not a great picture) to show you that we have two dressers in the room and we do have a TV above the highboy dresser.
I fit an 8×10 rug in the space, that makes the room feel larger.
You can find my rug HERE

This was the bedroom we saw online when looking at the home, and actually all I saw was pictures before we bought the home. My husband flew out and bought the home without me seeing it, he took a video (that he spent a lot of time showing me the backyard and not enough on the inside!)

We took the chair molding off and painted the room in Benjamin Moore Gray. I wanted it to feel like a chalk board, we used flat sheen to create that moody feeling. This is a shot from Christmas time, you can see more of that tour HERE.
I like to decorate with items we use or that I collected. I actually wear these hats and just pull them off the wall when it is a bad hair day.

I found this bust at Good Will, I have been searching for some to collect!

I added this antique grain sack that I got at cash and carry at Atlanta Market, I like to layer things and it adds a little more charm. You can find grain sacks HERE I actually don’t remember what I paid, it was under $50 is all I remember.

I use Euro pillows that are 26″x26″ rather than shams. I always stuff them with down fills you can find HERE the larger pillows fit the scale of queen and king beds better. I tuck the pillows that we sleep with under the back euro pillows to add height to the back pillows. You can find my marble bedding HERE.
I recently just got new sheets from Portico Home that are made from all natural fibers. They inspired me to switch my bedding to all white. I mixed some of what I had already on my bed with bedding from my guest room. I have had that white linen duvet for a long time and it is probably one of my favorite purchases. You can find one HERE.
If you have a piece of art that is too small for the wall you want it on layer a larger frame around it. You can find my large frame HERE I spray painted my bright white.
I have framed pictures of myself and my husband when we were babies above his nightstand. And a glass jar to put his change in… that always seem to disappear, when the girls want to buy candy next door.

This little wall grouping is on my favorites by my side of the bed. The framed letter is the sweetest poem from my husbands Grandma that she wrote for us on our wedding day. It is the sweetest thing, I had to share. They are the perfect example of cherishing each other even in all the years they have been together.
“Happy together for ever and ever This is our wish for you. Cherish each other and try to discover What true love ought to be. Be true to your promises, made from the start. True to your vows, plant them deep in your heart. Your home will be joyful, If kind words are spoken, With trust, hope and praise, No heart will be broken. Grow roses and daisies and fat healthy babies, To make your lives complete. Be true to the end And never bend. Yes marriage can be so sweet.”
I like to find books at second hand stores and rip off the covers to make them all one color and a more cohesive impact.

I change up my bedding for the season changes. Just by putting a throw over the white duvet and moving pillows around our house. I added garland and lights at Christmas. I took this angle so you could see how close the foot of my bed is to my chair, there is about 3 feet walking space, it isn’t too cramped. I found my nightstand at a consignment shop, they were just random tables that happens to be the same height. I spray painted them both white to create some unity. They fit like a glove in the tiny nook.

Our girls are always in our bed and I love the cuddle time, they don’t sleep with us… never have, we all need our sleep!
We had to downsize from a king to a queen when we moved from our Utah home to our Connecticut home. We had just gotten a king bed and loved it so much I ordered it again in a queen. My husband goes on a long work trip for a month at a time. He saved up a lot of his perdium and gave it to me with a sweet card telling me to buy the bed I wanted. It was extremely thoughtful, he knows that I am a big saver and would not have bought it if he had not have done it that way. I will always be sentimental about our bed.

You can find my exact bed HERE
Eek! I can’t believe I am showing my closet to you. I get questions on where I put everything. I remember going to my friends home in Utah who lives in an older awesome area in Holladay in an older home. She had shoes and belts in her kitchen, it scared me… but now I get it!
We have this tiny closet, I use it for all my shoes, dresses and long sleeved clothes. I keep my short sleeve and jackets in another closet in our guest room. We also have THIS cabinet from Ikea in our guest room that my husband stores his “in season” clothes then “off season” clothes are in a closet upstairs. When we first moved I gave away bags of clothes then when we moved in and I realized how much space we actually had I gave away more clothes. Now when I buy something new I take out something to donate.
These containers help so much to keep my shoes organized.
You can find them HERE

Thank you very much, that is very nice of you to comment.
Brooke,
Love your house! Our bedroom is tiny and painted black too. We kept our king size bed, but that means we have no nightstands! And….My husband saw the house and bought it without me seeing it. The things he "forgot" to mention or take photos of still makes me laugh. I especially love the photos of your darling girls all cozy in your big bed.

Sounds like you are in the same situation as I am! Tiny space, bought home sight unseen too! Thank you for reading!
YES! I love that I have seen your bedroom 🙂 and we are in the same boat…tiny bedrooms!
I couldn't find the link to your rug. Was it Rugs USA?
Just a beautiful space! What color are your walls? Im thinking of going dark too but do u have a problem getting the room dark for sleep with light curtains?

Love your house. Your bedroom is so pretty. I even bought the exact paint. Your bed is gorgeous too. Where is the gray throw from and where did you find those little cement lamps?
Thank you!! The gray throw is from Mod allure. I have a link in my last christmas home tour or a link on my instagram picture of my bed. The lamps are from Gallery Design! I hope your paint turned out!
Hi! Love your home and bedroom! Can you let me know where the big print/screen of the cherry blossoms is from (in the 1st ad 2nd photos).
Thanks!
I bought it at The Black Goose Design a Utah store. The company that makes it is A&B Home if you want to search for it!
