I am so excited to share our backyard deck remodel with you that we partnered with Raymour and Flanigan on. I shared last week my inspiration photos you can see HERE. My husband actually flew out and looked at homes...alone when we were looking to move from Utah to Connecticut. We had looked at houses online and I knew the ones that I liked from the pictures, but it was still hard to tell exactly what the area was like or even the house. He did a great job of keeping me involved and looking for the best for our families needs and budget. I was working full time as a store buyer and manager ... Read More

Tips on De-cluttering your Home
I went out to dinner with some friends the other night and we were catching up on what we have been up to. One of my friends is moving so she has been de-cluttering and getting rid of things. They moved from Utah when we did and she was shocked with how much stuff they brought with them that they haven't even unboxed or used in over a year. She found a box of clothes a year after living here and didn't even open it, just took it straight to Good Will. She figured if she had not used it or needed them in all that time why would they now. My other friend shared that she read something online ... Read More
Top Questions Asked On Instagram
I thought I would compile all of the answers to the Top Questions I get asked on my Instagram. I love to share what I find and I take it as a compliment when you want to know where I find the things in our home or are inspired by something that I shared. My favorite is when people tag me in photos on Instagram showing me something they did or tried because of something I posted. Some of the items I get questions on are pieces that are discontinued so I have come up with similar items. My ottoman is one of my favorite pieces and I have had it for over 5 years. I think the reason I have ... Read More
Valentines Decor, Cards and Enter to Win
I love Valentines. Maybe it is the fact that I can add more pink to my house. Or that I love sending Valentine Day cards, who doesn't want to get a little note of love? When I used to work in a design store, on Valentines we would do a cookie exchange and then everyone got to take home a plate of different cookies with the recipe. We would have the warehouse guys judge them of coarse, we needed a winner. I can remember my Dad bringing me in a little valentines day treat and balloon for a couple of years to my work or on other occasions they dropped off a pie on our front door. It was so ... Read More
Bookcase Styling
Accessorizing has always been my favorite part of design. I love to add the finishing touches or the icing on the cake as I fondly like to call it. I think a styled home looks its best and the warmest when you bring in new pieces mixed with those treasured and collected pieces. When we bought our current home the previous home owners had these white bookcases built in. They are one of the reasons why I was so drawn to the home. As soon as we painted and at least beds set up I started unboxing all of the items that I had envisioned in these bookcases. Some of my accessories were new that ... Read More
