Christmas in Kids Bedroom- Finn’s Bunk Room & Girls Share Bedroom
Do you decorate your kids rooms for Christmas? I do! Are you surprised?? I would have LOVED having a mini Christmas tree in my room with magical twinkle lights as a kid. Wouldn't you? Actually I want it as an adult! I have had the same Christmas tree for Finn for 3 years now, from Home Goods (this tree is kind-of similar). All his ornaments are pretty random, collected over the years. I always start with a garland on any tree I decorate, on his tree I did chunky felt ball garland (I have had that for awhile too). This year I added these felt animals, that Finn was thrilled about! ... Read More

Christmas Fireplace Mantle and our Narrow Christmas Tree
Having a fireplace is a real treat this time of year. This is our third year having a fireplace in this home. When we added this electric fireplace I had visions of swooping garland and stockings hung from the mantle. Vision came true this year. I brought out all my Christmas garland from past years and ended up layering it all here! It is very extra, but it feels very cozy and goes with our layered look. Since I beefed up the gland so much I kept the decor on the mantle pretty simple with art, battery candles and a mercury tree (our mercury tree is old). To attach all the garland I ... Read More
Christmas Kitchen Shelves and Target Christmas
One of my favorite things in our kitchen is our open shelves. Of course it was the first thing I decorated for Christmas. And as I started to write this I realized it really isn't a ton of Christmas, but it feels like a seasonal change. Just a couple bottle brush trees, and colorful bowls! I did end up adding some twinkle lights and festive art! And linking up some favorites from my Target trip the other day…. Visions of Sugar Plums Danced in their heads…isn't that art just made for our kitchen?? From my favorite Lindsay Letters. She wrote "I read 'Twas the Night Before ... Read More

The holiday season is our favorite time of year and I just couldn't wait to start to slowly deck these halls! Here's the thing--Decorating for Christmas doesn't mean you need to pull out the stockings and ornaments right away! It can be as simple as adding a cozy glow and some more wintery greens! Friday Favorites- Blackstone Grill, Christmas Early, New Pan and more!
There is something extra fun about cooking outside! It makes any day a party! As you likely know, Kevin does most of the cooking for our family. I had spied a good friend of ours using a Blackstone Grill with her friends and family and had quietly considered getting one for us. They use it often for Hibachi and it looked delicious and fun (is there a better combo?). Imagine my surprise when one showed up on our porch-- a generous gift from that same friend! It's like she read my mind! We wasted no time getting it all setup (it is the perfect size for our new deck). It's been here for 4 ... Read More
