Recipe for Making a Cozy Bed always Starts with a Mattress

I have a recipe I use to make all our beds, a formula that makes for an extra cozy, fluffy bed. The recipe always starts with a comfortable, non-toxic mattress! If you don’t have a comfortable mattress what is the point of all the extra fluff? Three years ago, I was on a mission to find a toxic-free mattress, we spend a lot of time sleeping! I try to do better with each new purchase and find the best option that has the lowest amount of toxins. When we moved into our new home, we needed to buy more mattresses and I decided to try a non-toxic brand. The first night I was in love. No adjustment period. Sharing our favorite mattresses, all on sale!

We went with Tuft & Needle for all our Mattresses. Tuft & Needle is one of the highest rated toxic-free mattress brands. I like that the mattresses are made in the U.S. and are more affordable than most toxic-free mattresses. Tuft & Needle is CertiPur label which means it is certified to contain no harmful chemicals, heavy metals, PBDEs, phthalates, formaldehyde or carcinogens. I did partner with them. Beds and Mattresses in our Home-

First of all, I feel like I should give a quick update on our bedroom. If you have been following on social media… we did paint our bedroom terracotta, it felt really orange on the brick…so we painted over it! I will share more of this room, but there is wallpaper behind that mirror! We are just waiting for the rest of it to come to finish the bedroom!
We have the Mint Hybrid Mattress. It is so good. Great for all types of sleepers. I sleep on my stomach and Kevin sleeps on his back. I love that you can sit on the edge and it doesn’t sink in. It is breathable, with diamond-infused memory foam that moves heat away from you. Heat regulating! We also have this mattress in our guest room. Kevin’s dad and step mom slept on the guest bed and raved about how nice the mattress was!

In Ella’s bedroom, she has the Mint Mattress, again, so comfortable! The difference from the Mint Hybrid is it doesn’t have springs. The Mint is designed for two sleepers. Medium firmness. You can also remove the cover to wash!
All of Ella’s bedding (besides the throw pillows) are from Tuft & Needle. Her down duvet insert is on sale, I really like that insert!!! Covers the sides well, we have a queen on a queen.

In Lola’s bedroom, she has the same mattress Ella has, the Mint Mattress.
We have the T&N Original Mattress on Finn’s bed. It is the starting out price point and it is really comfortable! I do recommend this Mattress Protector on all mattresses (tested and free from harmful levels of more than 300 concerning chemicals). Doesn’t need a box spring either.
