I really didn’t think I was going to share any Spring Decor ideas with you. Until I realized that my front room was looking a little undone. I had taken out a couple of the fur throw pillows because they were feeling a little wintery and I had slowly been taking things out and not taking the time to fix it or replace it. The beauty of season changes is, they get us in the mood for change and a re-set or a re-fresh. We might get tired and think….why bother? But that itch will eventually come- I think that is is why they call it Spring Fever. Thank goodness for Spring Fever because it hit me and I took them time to move things around in our front room with our built-in bookcases and really love this space again.
I will show you the simple changes I made, easy things you can do too! And you will hopefully get Spring Fever after you read Ella Claire Inspired Spring changes along with the rest of the bloggers I linked at the end of this post. I really enjoy blog tours and I hope you do too, because these bloggers are a treat to follow!
The first thing I did was hung our Magnolia Wreath and layered in a lot of ribbon (see the tutorial HERE). Really this is the spot most visitors might only see. We actually have snow hitting us today so the front porch is still looking sad but at least my wreath will draw your eye up and away!
Our piano is right in our entry and the star at our house. I placed a white table runner on the top to brighten it up and ground everything. I also picked up a Shamrock Plant at our grocery store (I saw them at Trader Joe’s too and most nursery should have them out now). This little plant is such a treat!! The little leaves close up at night and open again each day. It is pretty neat to watch.
Filled my green vases with some Pussy Willow branches too (also found at the grocery store).
I really don’t have much seasonal decor. I found two little bunnies in a box downstairs in our basement and that is it! Plants and moving things from room to room is enough for me and gives life to old things.
I moved THIS green tassel pillow that was in Finn’s nursery to this front room and I loved the green with our swivel chairs. So when I was at Target I picked up some white and green stripe pillows (I can’t find them online, they are similar to THIS). I figured I could move them to Finn’s bedroom if I want to mix things up again. I always like to have at least two spots home decor and pillows could be moved around to.
Also brought down THIS pink cactus pillow from the girls bedroom and just moved their pillows around. THESE large white pillows were in the kitchen and they actually aren’t missed from in there! Sometimes moving things from one spot to another you realize you don’t even need to fill that “hole”.
I had taken down THIS sconce that was above our window seat and used it HERE in our kitchen. I just meant to try it then I ended up spray painting it! So I ordered the same sconce again and put it back up here. I really love it here. If you are new here this sconce is my “magic light trick” where you don’t need to hire an electrician to get it to light! See the simple hack HERE. 100’s have duplicated it in their own home and it just makes me so happy to see! (Window seat cushion info HERE).
I still have ally twinkle lights in our glass jars- I think they will stay here all year! Just adds that cozy feel. (Find the exact battery operated with remote lights I used HERE).
There she is- one of two bunnies that I have. I saw some at Target HERE. Sweet little nod to Spring without having to store a lot of extra Spring or Easter Decor.
And her sister who got a little shower of spray paint!
Picked up THIS pink vase and THIS green glass to pull in my accent colors. I didn’t have anything on top of this secretary desk and I like how these two pieces finished it off and feel cohesive with the built-in bookcase decor.
And now we have slowly made it back around to our entry! Spring touches over here are just a simple potted plant on our entry/storage piece. Did I mention that our home is 1100 square feet? We need every square inch to be maximized.
As always you can Shop our Home HERE for more details!
I will be back tomorrow to share our new Spring bedding and master bedroom that is just down this hall that we just updated with a new Magic Light HERE. And on the opposite end of the hall is our kitchen that also got an update with an IKEA Hack HERE.
Make sure to stop by the other bloggers to see the changes they made to their homes for Spring!

Your house is my most favorite of all houses!! I love glimpses into your everyday lives….I follow you on Instagram and I have to say that everytime I see Finn with a vacuum it makes me laugh out loud!! I am a compulsive re arranger and just curious if you have ever tried your couch on the wall where the grey chairs and secretary are? The grey chairs would look so good in front of the windows but I am aware that the secretary is too tall lol…..oh well I just thought I would ask….when I don’t have anything else to re arrange in my own home I look to others đ
I think I’m a broken record at this point because all I want to say is how much I just love all of this. The pops of pink and green are so cute and fresh looking. No matter what season, your home always warm and inviting. And no matter what, I’m always looking to you for ways to make my home feel the same way. Thank you!!
hey girl- such cute decor!
Oh my, even Finn (at the front door) is color coordinated with the living room. Love it!
LOVE IT. Question: How and where do you manage to spray paint in our cold CT weather?? I have dreams of installing at least 5 “magic” lights. Thanks for sharing all YOUR magic with us.
not good- but in my basement with a window open! And thank you!!
Your style is so fun and beautiful!
Beautiful tour! I love all of your little spring touches. The clover is my favorite!
