This post on my new pillows is sponsored by ebay I like to pack away the pillows and throw blankets that are really heavy and knitted for the Spring and Summer. That is basically the majority of the pillows we had in our upstairs family room. After putting away the covers I didn't replace them, I left it that way for about a month. I just didn't know what I wanted to do. I always say you need to start with inspiration. After ebay reached out to me to partner and share anything I wanted to....pillows came to my mind because they were on my list of things I was looking for. I really didn't ... Read More
IKEA Finds- What I bought and What I Love
IKEA is about 30 minutes from my house. I like to go every couple of months. This last visit I had so much fun! I took some videos while I was there and shared it on my Instagram Storie and put them all and more that I didn't share at the end of this post. I feel like I was more open to looking at furniture and searching for storage and organizing solutions than before, or maybe they just had a lot of really great things! There are my go-to pieces that I typically get there- dish towels, down pillow inserts and white curtain panels. I am excited to show you what I thought was an IKEA ... Read More
Friday Favorites Starts with Pillows
My new Mudcloth Pillows are just making me so happy. There is so much devastation right now with Texas it has been hard to not feel guilty and silly for being happy about pillows. Even just doing normal everyday things- like taking my kids to school, that is not happening in Texas. I almost didn't share my new pillows, but I thought they are a good distraction right now with the disturbing news. And over on my Instagram you could win two pillows- so maybe that would brighten someones day. If you haven't noticed the pillow trend of Mudcloth yet- well it's strong! Here are some of my favorite ... Read More
No Sew Pillows- Easy DIY
*Post contains affilate links I came up with an EASY way to make pillow covers that are No-Sew! I actually do know how to sew and I do have a sewing machine. But sometimes you don't want to get out the sewing machine, but you do want to make a quick pillow. Or maybe you find cloth napkins that you love the fabric so much you want it for pillows. This was the case with my new lemon napkins, they needed to be summer pillows. Perfect match. All you need for No-Sew Pillows- Eyelet Snap Punch ( I use this all the time for cards and tags) 8 Eyelets (in the color to match your fabric, ... Read More

I went to Target the other day (thankfully the closest Target is about 25 minutes away, so I don't go too often!) I was blown away by all of their pillows. I picked up the black and white stripe outdoor kidney pillow for our banquette and THIS bamboo planter basket. I could have gotten way more! I shared my favorite pillows below... 1- Kidney Stripe Pillow /// 2-Buffalo Check Pillow /// 3-Cream Polka Dot Pillow /// 4-Cream Fringe Kidney Pillow /// 5-Black and White Stripe Pillow /// 6-Ebony Fringe Pillow /// 7-Cream 24" Fringe Pillow I took the above picture the other night ... How to pick the Right Pillows
I just got some new pillows in our family room and I love them! I thought it would be a good time to share my tips for picking the right size pillows for your sofa. I have talked about this before, over a year ago and I know one person did see it because when I went to my friends house this past summer I totally noticed her pillows were on point, she said because she read my pillow tips. I switch my pillows out probably more than the average person. I always keep the inserts and I will give away the casing or sell them if they cost a lot. I do have a set of pillows that I keep- they are just ... Read More
Hanging Pendant Light DIY
I heard somewhere that an overhead light should only be turned on if you lost an earring! I totally agree. Overhead light can be so harsh, not very cozy or inviting. That is one thing I love about our 1950's Cape is that there is hardly any overhead lighting, forcing everyone to switch on a lamp for light. I fell in love with THESE pendant lights and did not have a spot in the traditional sense of where a pendant light should go. Most pendant lights come without a plug so you have to have them hardwired and that can be very expensive if you don't already have existing power to ... Read More
