I don’t own any faux plants and I have to say I love it. Tell me if this is true- real plants scare most people? Honestly we left our house plants for about three weeks and they did great, no deaths. But last time we went away we left them alone with my husband and there were a few casualties. Come see what went wrong and the easiest tips to care for house plants and ALL my favorites.
 
Here is a blooper picture for you…a box of cookies sitting on the counter (real Pinterest worthy). Luckily I caught it before I posted it, because that could get some comments “couldn’t she at least moved her generic box of cookies?” 🙂

I Would love help with this bookcase! It’s in our playroom and each cubby is 33 3/4″ x 25″. They are huge! I don’t want just a bunch of giant baskets. Clearly the IKEA boxes are too small. Help!

Juli sent this to me and also posted it to our private Facebook Group (you can join HERE since you are an email subscriber).
Several people commented on FB and told her to possibly do a barn track door or to add wallpaper to the back or someone suggested doors on the bottom. I loved all the ideas. I personally notice that Juli has a lot of things that she might want hidden. Especially in a playroom. I think it would be worth the investment to have cabinet doors put on the bottom half. I don’t think it would be too pricey. I recommend getting several bids if you are not a DIY family:) Find a local handyman and also a cabinet shop. Even cabinet refacing would be a good route too go for just doors and not expensive.

Three EASY Tips To Refresh Your Home Decor

Hello friends! I am so thankful for my email subscribers. Sometimes I feel like I wish I knew who was actually subscribed and I could see your face! All I see is an email and that really tells me nothing. So in an effort to get to know you better I am offering a special service to my email subscribers ONLY! I also want to start sharing a little more behind the scenes and pictures that don’t make the cut for my blog. Today on my blog I am talking about Three EASY tips you can do to refresh your home. One tip I gave was to “Get Rid Of Something.” I didn’t share any pictures on the blog for that tip. But I included them below for just you. The first pic is the picture that made it to my Instagram yesterday. I bought some new plants and I actually took away lamps that were on my sideboard that have been there for close to three years (too long if you ask me:)). They always bothered me because you could see the inside of the lamp when you were on the sofa.

You can  see the ottoman I tried for Monday’s post compared to the small one I had. I have still not decided on an ottoman, mainly because the one I was “trying” there works for now. And so many of you suggested keeping with something soft, and I totally agree with that.
