I am back with the rest of my clients home that we just gave a facelift to. I shared her home office yesterday and the changes we made to it HERE. This is my clients second home, it is in St. George Utah, basically the desert! It was around 110 degrees when we were visiting a few weeks ago. HOT! I have been helping my client all via email and ordering everything online. I picked paint and drew out floor plans for her home. I was thrilled to see it in person and how great all the changes looked. We had to work with the golden roman shades we had made 10 years ago when I originally designed the home. Come see how we made it all work.
We painted all the walls in Simply White from Benjamin Moore and they really made such a big difference! The bright white walls balance out the honey floors and we added in touches of the honey color with the leather ottoman and pillows.

This home has a really nice open concept floor plan with a large great room. We changed up the lighting in this space and added some fun new pieces. The windows have the most stunning view of the red rocks. I love how all the colors really balance out each other.
The new white barstools and lighting really help to brighten up the honey kitchen cabinets and break up the floors that all blended together.
I made a little change to her kitchen cabinets to brighten them up. The glass doors had a big piece of wood down the center so you couldn’t see anything you put behind the glass. I simply took off the doors and added some new accessories.

Next up is the Master Bedroom. We painted the walls in Stonington Gray from Benjamin Moore and brought in new furniture and light fixture. Again we had to work with the golden roman shades we did 10 years ago. Mixing in the gray and white bedding with touches of gold helped to pull the room tougher.

Let me know if I missed any sources you are interest in. There is a lot more of this home to share and I will when I make it out there again. Until then here is one of my favorite parts of their home. They are big travelers and are always up to something fun. Downstairs around the pool table and ping pong table I hung photos that they wrote on the mat where the picture was taken. So fun for guests and family to look at and a great gallery wall.
I actually love the golden shades. It feels so light and bright. It doesn’t feel 10 years ago at all.
yes they totally work really well now! The walls used to be a lighter golden color, so it does look a lot better and brighter now. Thanks for reading:)
You did a fabulous job of blending old with new, something most of us have to do because of budget. The warm and cool neutrals work beautifully together to make a harmonious backdrop for that amazing view. I would never watch tv…I would be watching the sunlight play on the hills and valleys outside. Can’t wait to see more.
Man, I really love the sectional and of course, it’s not linkable! Always my luck! The house looks great.

That blue sectional is everything I’ve ever wanted! 😉 It looks a lot like the Carlisle line from Pottery Barn; I thought it was. Thanks for sharing!

LOVE. Mixing old and new is so well done here!
Would you mind sharing the source of the LR rug?
