Two Favorite Plant Styling Hacks
I have two favorite plant styling hacks, I think they will be your favorite too! These two plant hacks will save you money and make your plants look really impressive! The first plant hack I did on my Audrey Ficus. I love her so much and she is looking really big and tall lately. I have had her just over two years and did this hack from day one. The second plant hack I did in my Connecticut house too, this plant hack filled a big empty corner and saved me about $100 from having to buy a really large plant. Ready for the plant hacks? Lola’s New Bedding- Seasonal Bedding Idea
When we moved into this house I used a mixture of bedding I had collected over the years to make Lola's bed. It turned out really cute, but now some of it isn't looking too great. I had the the duvet cover for 5 years, it was in our Connecticut primary bedroom. While I loved that duvet cover, it was falling apart. And after some research sheets, similar thickness to a duvet cover, are expected to last about two years before you might want to consider replacing them. While a duvet insert will last you 15 years (I have had one about that long and it still looks good!). Her thin Target quilt was ... Read More
Our Propagation Wall- How it is doing 6 months later and what I learned
I hung a propagation wall 6 months ago in our basement. I thought it deserved a blog post, all about the results and what I learned about propagation! Here is a clue, it is EASY!!!! What does it mean to propagate plants? Basically propagating a plant means your plants can have plant babies. To propagate, simply cut a piece of a plant or take a broken stem of a plant, put it in water, and let it grow roots. After your plant takes root, you can plant that rooted plant into dirt. Basically propagating takes one plant and gives you another!!! Boom! Start now and you will have plants to give as ... Read More

Plant Tip for Rooms with Low Light- Grow Lights!
I love how much plants add to decor. I actually don't have any faux plants in our home, no judgement if you do! That being said, it can be hard to put plants in every room, especially those rooms with no windows or poor lighting. Plants won't grow and slowly die if they don't get light. Don't let that stop you, I have a solution! This is the same plant! It stayed alive under the light of the grow light for about a year, until we moved. Plant Favorites- ... Read More
Lola’s Bedroom with a View- Utah Ranch Home
When we bought this ranch home in Utah back in November 2020, I wasn't sure we were going to add a second floor. I originally liked the idea of adding faux dormers to give the front a little more curb appeal. A selling point to help the girls be ok moving from Connecticut and all their dear friends to Utah, was the fact that they would get their own bedrooms. And without adding a second floor they wouldn't be able to have their own bedrooms AND us to be able to have a guest room. We are all very happy we decided to do the second floor addition and the girls LOVE their bedrooms and bathroom! ... Read More
