My parents are very giving of their time and love to offer service whenever they can. They love to help others. I believe that is their main mission in life. A large dining table where they can invite others in and connect is important to them. We had given them a fireplace makeover last December for their Christmas gift, which turned out beautiful. After we finished the fireplace the dining table felt very orange and heavy, although it was a great quality table. But I knew if it were my house I would want to refinish the table, there was no way we were getting rid of the dining table. So ... Read More
Boys Bedroom- My Nephews National Park New Room
My nephews are 8 and 10, they are at the age where bunkbeds weren't totally working for them and wanted to have their own twin beds. I offered to makeover their shared bedroom! They are the cutest boys who are actually very different from each other! One likes sports and the other prefers electronics. What they do have in common is being outside! Since they still need to share a bedroom I came up with a design plan that reflected both their interests, the outdoors. I don't really do "themes" instead I use something as my inspiration, starting off point. And the tree bedding was my starting off ... Read More

My friend, Rachel brought us apples and caramel dip in a cute basket the other night. It was such a sweet, thoughtful gift. She reminded me that we wanted to make the caramel dip into a printable to share! We finally did it! My mom and I did a taste test with several different caramel recipes and stuck with the one my friend Rachel makes all the time and another option with different ingredients, but tastes just as good! Are We Keeping the Rock? The Story of the Rock on our 1970’s Home!
We went back and forth on if we were going to keep the rock on the exterior of our 1970's home. Not because we thought the rock was ugly, just because it wasn't necessarily the style we would pick for our home. We have the same rock inside our house too. Inside it felt very busy for what I was trying to accomplish with our decor, so we did change that (see the rock inside HERE). I was actually certain we would change the rock outside when we bought the house, but decided to just wait to see what the exterior looked like once we painted the house black. Now that the house is painted black ... Read More
Pumpkin Crunch Cake- Easy Cake Recipe
I shared the Paleo version of this Pumpkin Crunch Cake a couple years ago, but I never shared the original version. I make this version for a crowd of people who might not be fans of paleo food. This Pumpkin Crunch Cake is all over the internet. Not sure where it originally came from, but I first got it from a co-worker Karen. She made it every fall and we would all go crazy over it! Finally sharing this must-have fall dessert! My kids even love this cake, with all the nuts on the top. We like to top the cake with homemade whipped cream. Or I personally love to whip Canned Heavy Coconut ... Read More
The Best Warm Shrimp Salad with Paleo Lemon Salad Dressing
I love a healthy and tasty salad! One of my favorite salads is at a local Utah restaurant called Red Rock. They make a Warm Shrimp Salad that is so tasty! We made a dup of it with our tasty Lemon Dressing. The dressing is basically a one size, fits all, dressing! I haven't met a salad yet that this didn't taste good on. With its tangy, bright lemon flavor, it'll blow away any store bought dressing. It’s a dressing that you’ll use for so much more than salad. Sure, it livens up greens, but it also makes roasted veggies flavorful, adds excitement to grain bowls, and more. Sharing salad ... Read More

Thought I would share a few things I ordered this season. I plan on using most of what I had last year, but with our new home I have new areas to decorate! I like to decorate in big statement spots, like our entry, fireplace mantel or a console. Every surface and corner doesn't need to be decked out, just a few key WOW spots! Early Christmas Decor- White Stoneware Tree- I had a version of these in mercury on my ... Read More
