Shower Curtain Upgrade- Use a Curtain Panel Instead

Shower curtain upgrade! The shower curtain in Finn’s bathroom always felt too small, not tall enough. I did use two shower curtains together, so it was wider, but still was lacking in height. His bathroom is a room we all walk by several times a day. Needless to say, it bugged me. I finally did something about it and ordered a curtain panel to use instead of his shower curtain. Ready to see this upgrade??

Shower Curtain Before-

I liked the black curtain for his bedroom, but see how it is too short, and I would prefer closer to the ceiling too. It was really hard to find a long black curtain panel already made that touched the floor.

Shower Curtain After-

Here is the after! I attached a curtain rod to the ceiling and hung a wide curtain panel. Love that there are no rings and no flimsy shower rod that falls down! I actually did two curtain panels, that I already had a sewed them together. Thankfully the height worked great since the rod does come down a few inches. I will show you how I attached the shower liner.

I really like Twopages for custom curtains, you can select your width, height, if it has lining, the header style and more. (I did – Back Tab Header, Blackout lining, 93″ H and a total of 140″ wide). Ordering a custom panel makes it easy to use one wide curtain panel as a shower curtain, because you can decide your width and height based on your shower.
I pushed a drapery pin into the curtain liner, I can easily remove the washable cloth shower curtain liner when it needs to be washed. Tip- pinch the drapery pin closed so the liner doesn’t slip out. You could look for a shower curtain liner that is long enough for your shower curtain, I found a 108″ long shower liner HERE.
I can just tuck the new shower curtain into the tub when I wash the floors. I could do a half inch shorter, but love the full look and I already had the curtains, win!
I tried the Black cotton curtain panels in our bedroom too, they look so pretty here as well!
