Our bedding was in need of a little spring refresh, you know when everything just feels blah? That feeling between winter and spring when the grass is brown, and you could just use a little color in your life or even some brightness? Let’s break down all the cozy layers on this bed! My bed recipe is mostly always the same. Extra soft sheets, quilt, fluffy duvet, throw blanket and pillows!
Start with soft sateen sheets, or linen sheets. I really like the Casaluna™ brand from Target, they have a deep pocket and fit our mattress so well.
I personally love a duvet on every bed! This is what gives your bedding that fluffy, make you want to jump in, look! My duvet is the Casaluna™ Linen, I LOVE that it has a zipper closure, ties to keep the duvet insert in place and it comes with two shams that match. I tried this down insert from Target, great price for a good down insert.
Let’s chat about pillows! First of all Dutch Euros are a DREAM!!! You really can’t find Dutch Euros in many places and the places I have seen them are over $200. Target has Dutch Euros, or they call them King Euros. They look great on a King bed or a Queen. I have had these Dutch Euros from Target for three years. The insert can get smashed down over time, I added another king sham to ours and it instantly fluffed it up!
A quilt and throw blanket are always a welcome layer. I recently found gorgeous block print quilts at Target. I layered the rust block print quilt at the end of our bed. It also comes in a gorgeous green version.
The fun thing about having layers to your bed is that you can switch up how you make it to give a totally different look. I opened the block quilt, then folded the duvet at the end of the bed. Topped it off with the chunky knit blanket on top.

I really LOVE these chunky knit blankets (they come in a bunch of colors) from Target. I layered over the top of the quilt, for a pop of color, which is perfect for the pups to lay on.
