I shared that we went to Florida last Friday. Well on our last day, I got a little time to shop and fill my CUP and believe me, it doesn't take much. Just a couple small things-trinkets get me! We went and looked at the directory to see the shops I wanted to pop into while we were at Disney Springs. We already knew the girls wanted to go to the Lego Shop. I needed to hit a MAC makeup store. Then I saw that Sugarboo was in there. I have many Sugarboo pieces in our home. So it was a must stop. I tell you what just entering that shop filled my creative soul. I posted on Instagram Stories when ... Read More
Shiplap Wall DIY Tutorial- Inexpensive Accent Wall
I have another EASY DIY project for you! We added a wood planks or as most refer to it as shiplap to the nursery we recently made over in two days for my sister-in-law. I personally don't think shiplap is going anywhere and love it in a small application like we used it. You could do this same shiplap look on a ceiling or the entire wall. We partnered with Lowe's to complete this project and so happy we did because we found the perfect pack of wood to use as shiplap and that was very affordable. Everything in this room and for this project can be found at Lowe's. Keep in mind you can ... Read More
Home Tour this New England Charming Home with the Blue Door
The house with the "Blue Arched Door" is one I point out to visitors as we walk to the beach or I stop and take a picture of it when I run by. It was one of the very first photos I shared on Social Media- I even guessed what the color of the blue door is. So when Marybeth the now owner of the "House with the Blue Arched Door" sent me an email saying that she is a reader of my blog and would love to meet me. I said "Yes! Can I come see your house and take photos??" And oh man I am so happy that she reached out, she brightened my day in every way. I was actually surprised that her charming New ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with Tips for good Family Pictures on Vacation
We were in Orlando Florida this past week. We went to Disney Land, Universal and Animal Kingdom. I didn't want to do an entire post about it- but I did want to talk a little about taking Family Pictures while on vacation and getting good ones with a stranger taking them! It was an issue for us the very first photo then I learned from my mistake and the rest were much better! I will say one thing- Universal was awesome! Harry Potter World was impressive and we were able to do a lot more rides than we did at Disney because of the long lines. The vote was Ella (9 almost 10 year old) and ... Read More
Kids Toy Organization- Custom Rolling Storage Bin
I have a simple follow up DIY tutorial from the nursery I shared a week or so ago. This is an easy custom Toy Storage Idea for a kids room or baby nursery. Even think outside the "Toy" label I put on it and use it for a unique rolling hamper in a laundry room or really ANY space that you can think of and need custom storage for. This custom way to organize toys cost under $50 and the original version that gave me my inspiration was well over $125. A lot of you requested this tutorial from when you saw it on the nursery post and on my Instagram Stories (videos I shared on ... Read More

Friday Favorites- starts with Questions in our Kitchen
I have done this once before, sharing the answers to the most asked questions from the week. I noticed that I received a lot of the SAME questions this week and a lot of the questions were really great, as they always are! Let's get right to it. The top questions came from our kitchen....one of my favorite spots to be. Question- "Do you like your butcher block countertops?" A- YES! We honestly do. We are going on three years of having them. My hubby has pointed out a couple spots that have gotten a little more wear. We could sand them and have them sealed. But I don't think they ... Read More
DIY Sconces to have Light without Power “Magic Light Trick”
I was SO excited when I figured out how to make a sconce have LIGHT without having to do anything with electrical wiring. Basically magic. A light trick! I had ordered some sconces for the Nursery we just completed for my Sister-in-law on my last blog post. I wasn't sure if we could easily change them to have a plug or figure out how to run electricity to them. Well I came up with a solution that involved none of the above and that cost under $20, done in 2 minutes! We recently removed the header that was above our window seat. Creating the perfect spot to add a sconce above our window seat ... Read More

Friday Favorites- Starts with a Dark to Light Family Room Refresh
Anyone else had a hard time coming off of Christmas? We were in Utah and had so much fun. Then traveling back wiped us out. And we all got sick after...took a bit to get any energy and excitement back. I did get it back. BUT I had to work it. Reminded me how important our happiness is to our energy. And that happiness is essential to life, exactly why it might take some work on our part. For me just getting out of the house and buying a couple new plants and stopping at a favorite store for inspiration helped! Those two things got me excited about decorating our home and taking down all the ... Read More
