It's never to soon to start making Christmas Cookies! Am I right? We would do a cookie exchange every year at work. Everyone would get so creative. We would have our warehouse guys vote on a favorite cookie, it would get competitive. I swear anything chocolate ALWAYS won. I am on the chocolate train too. So for our Holiday Recipe Series hosted by Ella Claire Inspired I thought I would share a Double Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookie Recipe- yes it is Paleo of course. I am a Paleo Diet Enthusiast and alway love a chance to share that the Paleo Diet can be an easy and tasty lifestyle choice. You ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with a trip to Target- Hearth and Hand
You know that question- "If you could go to dinner with ANYONE alive who would it be?" Before I give my answer. I want you to stop and think what would you say? I feel like my answer changes depending on the month. But right now it is for sure Joanna Gains. She is pretty inspiring. I love her perspective, value she puts on family and also her passion for design. That leads me to why I popped into Target. To see Joanna and Chip Gaines new Harth and Hand Collection! Obviously. I am sure glad we did! I honestly loved a lot of the new collection. I thought I had seen all of it on ... Read More

The Answer to The Most Asked Design Question
Since I started my "Ask a Designer Series" I have noticed a big trend. I keep getting the same question over and over and over. And honestly it surprises me to a point. Maybe because it comes easy to me. That didn't sound right. It comes easy to me because I practiced it and still do all the time. The most asked Design Question I get is.... Wait. I will get to that. First let me expand on why I think it comes easy to me. I actually don't have a degree in design. Go ahead unfollow me now. I worked in the same design store for close to 17 years. I would often feel stupid and less-than ... Read More
Halloween Decorations Outside, Tour of Fall Porches

Friday Favorites starts with Most asked Questions Lately
I thought it would be fun to answer some of the most asked questions today on my Friday Favorites. I get asked a lot of the same questions over on Instagram, because that is where I share the most "behind the scenes" on Instagram Stories. I have to say the that Instagram Stories is one of my new favorite things. But I have learned a big lesson. If something scares you that means you should do it! I really don't know if that goes for everything in life. I guess if it is "good" then it does. At first I was like "nope" not going to use it. I didn't like the idea of another social media ... Learn from our Mistakes when installing a Stair Runner
Within a day or two of us moving into our new home, we quickly realized we needed a Stair Runner, some protection! ALL of us slipped down the stairs more than once. Although I loved the look of the simple wood steps, I didn't want our lives to be risked in our own home. So in a haste I ordered a runner for our stairs as fast as I could for the cheapest I could find it (because we were bleeding money on bathroom remodels and kitchen). We watched a couple tutorials on how to install stair runners on our own. We went and got a new staple gun and got after it! In an hour we had a new stair ... Read More
Good Day, Good Night- A Day in The Life of a Blogger with a 19 month Old!
I was excited when my partner HarperCollins the publishers of Goodnight Moon of asked me to share their previously unpublished book release from Margaret Wise Brown, Good Day, Good Night because we enjoyed Goodnight Moon so much. You all know our family loves to read and this new book is so sweet. This book release created the perfect opportunity for me to share "A Day in The Life of a Blogger with a 19 month old!" Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies
I can not believe I haven't shared this cookie recipe with you yet! They are my go-to Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies. Because cookies are one of my favorite treats and my husbands too. Especially warm out of the oven, they are hard to resist. If you can turn down a warm chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven you have super powers! Am I right?! So I found this Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe years ago and adapted it to fit what I like. I was craving something sweet but that also wasn't packed with white flour, sugar and butter. I was under the assumption that there was no such thing as a ... Read More
