Beach House Tour and Retro Kitchen
We were fortunate enough to have made some really great friends right when we moved to Connecticut in 2015. I met my friend Sarah at the Crossfit I go to, one of the best places to make new friends when moving to a new area along with church. Our kids are both the same age and we had a lot in common. Baby Boy Nursery Features
We have really been enjoying our baby boys nursery. It was so much fun to design it for him. I can remember how I felt preparing it for him, I couldn't wait to rock him to sleep or to play with him in his room. I just knew he would love sleeping in it and gazing up at the wallpaper on the ceiling. Now that he is here, one of us says daily how lucky we are to have him in our family. He is such a joy. Dark Bedroom Walls
I was thinking the other day if we move from this house if I would paint our bedroom walls dark again? I think that I would! I like feeling like a bear in a cave in our 10'x13' bedroom. I am drawn to bedrooms with dark walls. Especially with light bedding for a nice contrast and to keep it from feeling dreary. Hanging Pendant Light DIY
I heard somewhere that an overhead light should only be turned on if you lost an earring! I totally agree. Overhead light can be so harsh, not very cozy or inviting. That is one thing I love about our 1950's Cape is that there is hardly any overhead lighting, forcing everyone to switch on a lamp for light. Kids Space Boys Americana Room
Ashley from House of Five recently made over her sons bedroom, and it stopped me in my tracks. I had to ask her to share it with us!
