"They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad an sincere hearts." Acts 2:46 My mom has been on a mission to accomplish that exact scripture. She found a homemade bread recipe that she loved and made a goal to bake one loaf of bread a day and give it to someone. That alone shows how thoughtful, empathetic, loving and Christ-like she is. She says "nothing is better than getting a loaf of warm homemade bread." I couldn't agree with her more. Think of the last time someone made you homemade bread? I can remember one of my best friends, Rachel baking a fresh loaf of french ... Read More

Easy Overnight French Toast
We have had family staying with us for the past 5 days. We absolutely love visitors. This time we had 6 guests staying with us. I like to make a yummy breakfast for everyone. Then we end up eating lunch and dinner out when we are sightseeing. This is one of my favorite breakfasts to make for a lot of people. You can make it the night before then pop it in the oven right when you wake up to let bake for an hour. There is nothing better than the smell of cinnamon bread to wake up to! I buy cinnamon bread from a local bakery. This time when I made it they only had one loaf of cinnamon bread ... Read More

Girls Bedroom Tour
It is crazy to me that we have almost lived in this house for one year, time needs to slow down! When we moved in I was most excited to get my hands on my girls bedroom. They didn't share a room in our Utah home. We had to maximize every inch of this Cape Cod home. And can I just tell you how glad I am that we have them sharing a room? They sing each other to sleep and play for hours together in this space, such a blessing. I created a play area opposite their beds. They love dolls and all the little toys. I had these Ikea bins that I made a simple ... Read More

Protein Bites
First have you seen the movie Chef? It is on Netflix right now. I heard about it when I was listening to one of my favorite Pod Casts- Good life Project. The pod cast is all about finding happiness in your career and life. The movie Chef is such a great example of following your passions and it is pretty hilarious too. It is a must see! Now I don't think I am a chef, nor do I want to be. I just like to share things I enjoy and am passionate about...I guess Protein Bites are one of those things. I only buy granola bars to keep in my food storage and to take if we are going to be out ... Read More
My Sweet Savannah- Guest Home Tour
I love Melaine from My Sweet Savannah. She has a gorgeous home with so many great design ideas. You look at any of her photos and they are so charming and unique. I love how she mixes old with new. I told her I like to flatter myself and think we have similar design styles. I fell in love with her Fall Home Tour and had to share it with all of you. Get ready for a real treat! She found these vintage chairs, what a score. I love them mixed around her table. Melanie's walls are dark and moody like mine and we both have fabric headboards, basically we are twins. My girls ... Award Winning Honey and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
I entered these cookies in a baking contest and won 3rd place. It was maybe just for a small gathering of about 100 people, but they were a hit. I made them because they are my husbands favorite and his first words as a baby were "cookie" so he is an excellent judge. We make these cookies all sorts of ways. But the favorite is with white chocolate chips, cranberries and nuts! But my kids like them just with semi-sweet chocolate chips! Award Winning Honey and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies- Honey and Oatmeal ... Read More
How to paint your piano
I get asked about my painted piano on Instagram all the time. I get it, I remember when I had wanted to paint my Great Grandmas piano I thought it seemed like such a big project and way to overwhelming. I would stare at it wishing it was painted. I thought I would have to move it to our garage or hire a painter to paint it. That is probably why it took me 7 years of owning our piano to finally do it. I found Annie Sloan chalk paint after doing some research, I knew that this would be the best route. No sanding involved or any prep work. I picked Paris Grey and picked it up ... Read More
Favorite Spot for Pillows
I really move my pillows around daily. They are grown up Legos or Barbies to me, my toys. Pillows can change the entire look of a sofa and space, if you are bored with your room move some pillows around from different areas in your home or...better yet buy some new ones! Whenever I would go over to my friends home, that I designed for her I would "fluff" her pillows, and then scold her for not shaking them up to make them look fuller after someone parked their booty on her sofa all night. I told her she had to do it as often as she brushed her teeth. But seriously your pillows will last ... Read More
