The previous home owners had their washer and dryer in the room next to the kitchen, which is right off the garage. We decided we wanted our washer and dryer in our bedroom along with two other areas in our home. It's that time of year where you can't help but drive around your neighborhood and feel all warm and fuzzy. We are thrilled to have a guest room in our new home. In our Connecticut home we had a guest space that doubled as our family room. Kevin and I have a goal to go on a hike once a week, we love being back in Utah for the proximity to hiking trails. We are 5 minutes to the base of lots of trailheads. This room was the room that made me really excited to get my hands on this 1970's home! I loved the wood on the ceilings and the fireplace. When we bought the home, I had no idea what we would do to the fireplace, and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined! We did a plaster treatment to the fireplace, bleached the mantle, added wood floor, pickled the ceilings, moved the stairs, and painted the walls a bright white. It is my favorite room in the house.
