It all started with pumpkins and I had ordered a few fall shirts to try a week ago and they came in. Annnnnd I love them. I will say at first glance they were a no. But once I tried them on they felt uber cozy. It got me thinking how fall fashion trends seem pretty on-trend with home decor trends. I found an article from Elle Decor Magazine with the Top Fall Trends for 2019. I thought it would be fun to find something similar in Home Decor that is a must-have for Fall! While I will never dress this high-fashion and be on-trend with the fashion scene. We can all take bits and ... Read More

Back to School Hacks, Lunches, Snacks and More!
Do your kids love back to school or hate it? When asked this question, my friend's son said "I get pretty excited, but I know that it is fake excitement because by day two, I will wish it was summer again." I couldn't have put it better myself! Sometimes we are guilty of wishing away the moment, thinking what is coming next will be better or easier. This is why back to School is such a bitter-sweet. We love summertime around here. But there is a joy that comes with structure and learning, that we look forward to as well! I actually used to dread things like- making lunches and my kids getting ... Read More
Three Ingredient Red Velvet Cookies- Valentines
We were on a baking kick while my sister was in town! We made the easiest cookie recipe. I love recipe's like this because my 8 and 11 year old can totally make them ALL on their own. We just have to keep the ingredients on hand when they are feeling like they want to bake. These cookies freeze really well too (after you bake them). So we make a bunch and freeze them, so they can grab them if they need to take a treat to someone or to a party. These Red Velvet Cookies remind me of the Three Ingredient Pumpkin Cookies you all LOVE so much. So I think you are going to love these- especially at ... Read More
Thanksgiving in our Small Kitchen and Table Setting Tips
I am sharing this a little backwards! Yesterday I shared our kitchen decorated for Christmas, but before Christmas decor happened we had Thanksgiving in here with my parents who were visiting. We won't see my parents at Thanksgiving, so we thought we might as well celebrate it now! We do have Kevin's mom and step-dad coming for Thanksgiving, but we will be in NYC for the Thanksgiving Day Parade (3rd year going!). So many of you wanted me to share what it looks like to host Thanksgiving in our small kitchen. It can be done. You can comfortably host Thanksgiving in a small house. I have ... Read More
Trader Joe’s Fall Bucket List- Top 45 Items
I had to do it. Just couldn't let the Fall Season pass without sharing all of my Trader Joe's Favorites. I asked all of you what your Fall Favorites were from Trader Joe's too! I got so much feedback! Over 500 responses. I complied a lit of the most suggested items. Ended up being 45 Fall Favorites. Trader Joe's only sells these items in the Fall and typically gets these items middle of September and it is fully stocked with all things pumpkin by the end of September. I picked up a few new things that I hadn't ever bought at Trader Joe's before. Like some yummy smelling candles, the pumpkin ... Read More
Appetizer- Four Different ways- Sweet Stuffed Peppers
Remember when I shared the stuffed sweet peppers that my friend, Sarah, brought for an appetizer? I since have taken it to many parties and it is ALWAYS the first appetizer to go! Everyone, even kids love it. I have made it four different ways and thought I would share the options with you. Especially with Halloween coming up and you might need a quick, healthy appetizer to share. Trust me. It will be a favorite for you and guests. I consider this a healthy recipe even though it has cheese and the inside is a dip. The vehicle is a vegetable (sweet peppers) so it eliminates the ... Read More

Fall Front Porch- Pink Door Stays!
Favorite thing to decorate for Fall! The front porch! So excited to share this with you today. Well, now almost 3 1/2 years later we have put our stamp on about everything in this little 1950's cape. And just a reminder it takes TIME! Making a home doesn't happen overnight. And making a ... For Friday Favorite today it is about porches and doormats- because let's be honest those are a BIG part of the front porch. Agree? We just got THIS black awning below for our back porch and love it! I always thought we were going to have to build something and was planning on it. Until I saw Young House Love ... Read More
FALL Tour- Bookcase Styling and Color Blocking
I tried something new in our front room. With the change of the seasons I got that "change" part down! Seasonal decor can just mean moving things around and for Fall my favorite thing to do is mix in some real pumpkins. I love the natural look of real pumpkins and the fact that I don't have to find a place to store them when the season is over. I re-styled our bookcases and tried color blocking! Basically it's grouping similar colors next to each other. I really love how it turned out. There are a lot more accessories in the bookcase than was before, but fun for a little change. Speaking of ... Read More
