The term "refresh" is one that is frequently used in the design world. It is really the perfect way to describe those little changes that breath new life into a space without completely redesigning it or buying all new items. Often, you can just move things around in your home for a fresh feel. Or even get fluffy nice inserts in your pillows! Plant anyone? It is always amazing what just a few changes like that does for a room! Ours ended up turning into a slightly bigger refresh, not intentionally…. Thank you to The Company Store for sponsoring this post. The girl's room was about due ... Read More
Outdoor Shower
First comes love… I mean sun, then comes a pool, then comes an outdoor shower booth! Isn't that how it goes? 😉 We actually have wanted an outdoor shower for awhile, even without a pool. We live so close to the beach, so having a spot to quickly rinse off sandy feet is a really nice addition! With our remodel it was a perfect time to add one to the side of our home. We really didn't have the best spot, because of our deck addition, so decided to make a spot at the backyard entrance. It is in front of our gate, and it ended up looking great from the front too! Little a little shower booth! ... Read More
Parents Master Bedroom Makeover- Horizontal Board and Batten
When we went to see family recently we made sure to schedule in a makeover for my parents. It was a shorter trip than usual, we really wanted to make time to do this makeover for my parents master bedroom. They still live in the home I grew up in and I love the nostalgia, but over the past couple of years, they have done a lot of updates to make this home work for their new stage of life. At Christmas, you may remember that we gave them an electric fireplace, made over their guest room (where we stay when we visit), and spruced up their family room. My parents are such hard workers and ... Read More

Upstairs Family Room Update
There are no accidents. When we began our home renovations last fall, we discovered an original brick chimney that extended from our kitchen to the upstairs family room. It had to come down to make room for our banquette plans and therefore left a gaping hole in our upstairs family room. You can see the chimney in the photo below, covered in removable brick wallpaper... If you missed it, we decided to add the brick from our old chimney to a wall in our kitchen. It was meant to be and I love the brick wall! It didn't really solve the hole in the family room, though. We had a couple options ... Read More
Simple and Affordable Master Bedroom Makeover
No one loves a good bedroom makeover quite like I do. When I discovered that my neighbor's bedroom needed some love, I couldn't wait to make a few adjustments to help it feel a little more cozy. Jeff and Trish are both busy people, Jeff works for the military (thank you!) and Trish works full-time at a pretty-intense job. They just haven't gotten around to making their master bedroom what they really wanted it to be. Our goal here was to keep it simple and still make a big statement. You won't believe how affordable this on-trend bedroom makeover was! Thank you to Wayfair for sponsoring ... Read More
Friday Favorites- Outdoor Edition
We have been working on our backyard and working on pulling everything together with our pool addition. For Friday Favorites I wanted to share some random updates outside! Speaking of outside…have you tried to shop for planters? They are hard to find! We found some planters at our local nursery that were a great price, but just not the right color. Luckily we have spray paint in our back pocket…ready to spray! We had chalk spray paint that we tested on a small planter and it ended up working really well! So we went for it... See the difference?! We used Behr Classic Noir! That's all, ... Read More
Nesting with Grace Wallpaper Collection (coming!)
You probably noticed one of the wallpaper brands I use often is Tempaper, peel and stick wallpaper. One of my best friends Rachel, who also works with me, said to me "you should have your own wallpaper collection!" And that is what started this new collection! My collection with Tempaper will also be peel and stick wallpaper. It is very easy to apply and really easy to take down. It doesn't damage your walls either! I sent Tempaper a college of what I wanted my collection to look like, based off of inspiration I had- from shoes, art or our tile floor! I also knew I wanted some sort of ... Read More
Father’s Day Gift Guide- Kevin’s Favorite Things
I may let the cat out of the bag early on Kevin's Father's Day gift. Kevin has been eyeing a Traeger Smoker for a long time and I couldn't wait to gift him something that we all would enjoy so much! We got him the Timberline. It comes on Monday, so we will be back to share what it looks like and favorite recipes! When I mentioned the smoker, the recommendations started to flood in on different types and brands to try. I am learning, people have strong opinions on BBQ! We ultimately stuck with the Traeger, but here is a list of the others that people said that they had and they ... Read More
Our New Stair Runner, a Steam Mop Update and Friday Favorites
If you follow me on instagram, you already saw, but we got a STAIR RUNNER! I just love it so much. When we first moved into our home, I thought we'd be okay with just the hardwood floors. After a couple near death experiences, we knew some skid-proofing would be necessary. Truthfully, I would have added one anyway! The staircase is the first thing you see when you come to our home. It is like a big welcome mat that sets the tone for your whole visit. We went ahead and refinished our stairs when we did the hardwood on the main floor. They are so much lighter and I love them! While we ... Read More
