So we did what one does after a red eye flight. We put up a Christmas tree. Lola was really excited to decorate for Christmas she said "hey google play Christmas songs" and we started! Her bedroom turned out pretty magical! We started by hanging garland over her window seat. Lola and Ella have the best view of the mountains, so we needed garland to highlight the view. Lights Under Pergola- Grouping of Outdoor Pendant Lights
I have wanted to do a big grouping of lights under our pergola for awhile, but I wasn't sure if they could all be hardwired under the pergola. I finally asked Chad, our friend who is an electrician and he said yes he could do it! He added conduit for the wires, which I was fine with and knew we could paint the conduit black to match the pergola if it was really noticeable and it isn't. With my sisters wedding in our backyard, that gave me the push to get pendant lights ordered and it was so worth it, they looked beautiful at the wedding!!!! This is what it looks like now, a collection of ... Read More

New Sofa in Family Room
When we first moved into this house 2 years ago I had a plan for the family room furniture and I loved it immediately after we installed everything. Fast forward to a couple months ago I decided to try a larger rug in the family room area. I had originally went with an 8x10 rug because I didn't want to block the glass doors leading to our back patio. Turns out we only ever opened one of the doors, and if we needed to open both doors, we still could because the doors swing out. With a larger rug, there was more space for a larger sofa, so I sold our original sofa and got a larger one. Ready to ... Read More
