Today we are sharing 20 Bathroom Makeovers with you today! First one is my sisters bathroom makeover. Her bathroom was not a complete overhaul and actually not many of these bathrooms are. Just shows how little changes go a long way! You do not need to start completely over to have a gorgeous bathroom. Remember paint and spray paint are your friends! We have an amazing Facebook Group that is just for you, decorating enthusiast. We don't allow any selling or self promotion in the group. I do go live in the group a couple times a month and answer design questions. I wanted to give ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with NYC and What we Bought
Today is our Wedding Anniversary! We went to NYC for the night and just got to do some of our favorite things. We stayed at the coolest place! Kevin booked it because he knew I would love the decor. I did. 100%. Thought it would be fun to share our favorite things and what I bought while we were out shopping and where I came home and put it! We do get asked about our marriage on Instagram, asking for marriage tips we have. I feel silly because I don't think we have anything special to share. I think we both respect each other and really just are trying to be good people. Both of us ... Read More
Girls Shared Bedroom REVEAL- Thrifted Decor Mixed with New
Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post Yesterday on the blog I shared the design plan for this girls shared bedroom. Well, I got it done faster than I thought I would and get to share it today with you! The home owners worked hard on painting the bedroom, setting up the bunk beds, painting the new/old dresser pink and getting the rest of their to-do list done! I went to their home yesterday and installed some wall decal's on an accent wall and finished styling it all! It turned out so much better than I thought it would! Best of all Amy, (the homeowner) gasped when she walked in! She ... Read More
Girls Shared Bedroom Plan- Thrifted Decor Mixed with New
This post is sponsored by Walmart I am very excited to be working on a new little project. A girls shared bedroom. Kids bedrooms are my favorite to style and design for. I love showing that they can be well styled and organized too, they do not have to be cluttered with toys or look cheap with cheap furniture. And the main reason I love designing kids spaces is because a child's bedroom can really effect their mood, attitude and energy. It is their safe space, or it should be their safe space. A messy bedroom can have a negative impact on kids, I have seen it. That is why I am very ... Read More
Girls Bedroom Changes and Twin Beds and Bunkbed Options
While we were in Utah for the summer all I heard from Ella was "can I have my own bedroom?" I mean, I am sure we talked about other things. But what really stuck out was her asking me that question. Every. Day. I want my own bedroom. I would tell her our house doesn't have a spot for you to have your own bedroom and reminded her how much she loves sharing a room with Lola. Also she sleeps so much better having her sister in the room with her. She would stop. Then start again about the bedroom. Or she would ask if we could "decorate it". Like it isn't decorated already? I ... Read More
Friday Favorites Porches- Awning and Fall Doormats
Have you started adding some fall decor to your home? My favorite place to decorate for fall is our front porch. I have slowly been gathering ideas and thinking what I want to do. And Lola, my mini me keeps asking me when we are going to do it. Maybe this weekend we will start. For Friday Favorite today it is about porches and doormats- because let's be honest those are a BIG part of the front porch. Agree? We just got THIS black awning below for our back porch and love it! I always thought we were going to have to build something and was planning on it. Until I saw Young House Love ... Read More
Finn’s Big Boy Room and Goodnight Routine
This post is sponsored by Disney Book Group We moved Finn out of his crib! Have to admit it was hard to do. I kept putting it off. I mean, he has been crawling out of his crib since he was 9 months old. Never once fell out, just muscled his way out and escaped. After a couple of hard nights of putting him back in the crib maybe 15 times, he finally stayed. So it really wasn't going to be an issue putting him into his big boy bed. Just sad for me to leave the official "baby" stage. But, he was ready and we wanted to give him more space in his room. He has done awesome sleeping in his ... Read More
Our Free Little Library
Kevin built me a Little Free Library! I have been saying for sometime now that I want to build a Little Free Library to put in front of our house to share books with the community. If you haven't heard of Little Free Libraries before it is a neighborhood book exchange where anyone is encouraged to take a book or leave a book! The first Little Free Library was built in 2009 and now there are over 75,000 Little Free Libraries out there in the world! Anyone can build a Little Free Library (more on that at the end) or you can buy one already made or a kit. There is even a Facebook group for Little ... Read More
FALL Tour- Bookcase Styling and Color Blocking
I tried something new in our front room. With the change of the seasons I got that "change" part down! Seasonal decor can just mean moving things around and for Fall my favorite thing to do is mix in some real pumpkins. I love the natural look of real pumpkins and the fact that I don't have to find a place to store them when the season is over. I re-styled our bookcases and tried color blocking! Basically it's grouping similar colors next to each other. I really love how it turned out. There are a lot more accessories in the bookcase than was before, but fun for a little change. Speaking of ... Read More
Fall Fireplace Styling and Floral Arranging Tips
This post is sponsored by Christmas Tree Shops Do you remember the fireplace we made over about 9 months ago for my friends? I thought it would be fun to show you how I would style a fireplace mantle for fall! Seeing as I don't have a fireplace and I love a chance to freshen up a friends space. I approached her fall decor in her family room/front room with the idea that she could use most everything over and over or use in a new way in a different room. You don't have to start completely over when you styling your home each season. I do suggest trying to work with the main ... Read More
