Kevin built me a Little Free Library! I have been saying for sometime now that I want to build a Little Free Library to put in front of our house to share books with the community. If you haven't heard of Little Free Libraries before it is a neighborhood book exchange where anyone is encouraged to take a book or leave a book! The first Little Free Library was built in 2009 and now there are over 75,000 Little Free Libraries out there in the world! Anyone can build a Little Free Library (more on that at the end) or you can buy one already made or a kit. There is even a Facebook group for Little ... Read More
FALL Tour- Bookcase Styling and Color Blocking
I tried something new in our front room. With the change of the seasons I got that "change" part down! Seasonal decor can just mean moving things around and for Fall my favorite thing to do is mix in some real pumpkins. I love the natural look of real pumpkins and the fact that I don't have to find a place to store them when the season is over. I re-styled our bookcases and tried color blocking! Basically it's grouping similar colors next to each other. I really love how it turned out. There are a lot more accessories in the bookcase than was before, but fun for a little change. Speaking of ... Read More
Fall Fireplace Styling and Floral Arranging Tips
This post is sponsored by Christmas Tree Shops Do you remember the fireplace we made over about 9 months ago for my friends? I thought it would be fun to show you how I would style a fireplace mantle for fall! Seeing as I don't have a fireplace and I love a chance to freshen up a friends space. I approached her fall decor in her family room/front room with the idea that she could use most everything over and over or use in a new way in a different room. You don't have to start completely over when you styling your home each season. I do suggest trying to work with the main ... Read More
Friday Favorites- Fall Books, Fashion and Hair
With each season change comes up a stack of treasured books. Our biggest book stacks are in the Fall and for Christmas. Without fail we always read more after new books show up. Even tho Ella is 10 she enjoys sitting for an illustrated book or she will read one to Finn. I actually look forward to the new/old books too. And we have a tradition that we buy a new book for the season. I took a poll on Instagram and asked for everyone to share their favorite fall children books. I was surprised that there were many repeats I had never heard of! And many that we also have and ... Read More
Fall Kitchen minus the “Fall Decor”
I'm going for it. Yes. Sharing some Fall Decor in our Kitchen today. Except it really isn't decor that would be classified under the typical "fall category". This got me thinking about why do I personally change my decor a little for Fall or with each season? What is the draw for me? Because it isn't for everyone. And many pride themselves on doing nothing for each season change. For me fall decor is about a change. With each new season we have a change in routines. A change in temperature. A change in how the interior of our home looks from the light that comes in. ... Read More
Pumpkin Smoothie and Pumpkin Spice Granola
Smoothies are the best. When I am in a hurry or I am craving dessert for breakfast I opt for a smoothie instead. I think about 5 years ago I made a pumpkin smoothie and loved it then forgot about it. Decided to test it out again, nothing like ringing in September with a little pumpkin recipe. I actually use pumpkin all year round. Also tested this recipe to see if Finn (my two year old) would like it, he is a smoothie monster. Results were successful! Even added a Pumpkin Spice Granola to the top. Yummy to snack on it's own too! Sharing this pumpkin recipe with Ella Claire Inspired for her ... Read More

Friday Favorites starts with Flea Market Magazine
I picked up Better Homes and Garden Magazine the other day. It was a special edition Flea Market issue. You know when you pick up a magazine at the grocery store and you can pretty much soak in enough to be satisfied. Not this time. I had to buy it. Glad I did because I found a couple new Favorite Instagram Accounts to follow! I thought I would share them with you for my Friday Favorites and a couple others that I loved this week. To me this is a testament that looking at what others create gets your juices flowing and excited about YOUR space. Not comparing what you have to others. #1- ... Read More
Kids Art and Photo Wall and Hp Sprocket Printer/Camera
This post is sponsored by Hp First day of school here in Connecticut for my girls! Both of them are very excited. Personally I love having them around and get teary eyed whenever I think of them starting back. I don't know why, because I am fresh out of ideas for them to do! But it will be good to get back to productive schedules. Before school started I try to get things organized and establish systems. Where backpacks go, lunch boxes, papers when they come in the door (we try to stick to a paper-less policy here) and where the art projects will hang. I frame some of their art, but there ... Apple Artisan Bread Recipe- Fall Baking
Apple recipes are my favorite. They are hard for me to turn down. If a restaurant dessert menu says the word apple I don't need to read anymore. I'll take it! I have shared my favorite Paleo Apple Crisp before, the one we make over and over. So today you are getting another easy apple recipe. The easiest bread recipe just got a little sweeter with some apples and cinnamon. You know my Mom's Famous Artisan Bead Recipe? We have shared 6 different mix-in's you can try and it needed an apple version. This actually turned out way better than I thought it would! My kids loved it. I joined up with ...
