I have been blogging for about a year and a half now and really love it. I started blogging when I moved to Connecticut as a way to keep up on my design skills and stay current with what was going on in the design world. Not to mention it has been another form of journaling I didn’t consider. I had quit my job as a manager/buyer and designer to stay at home with my kids, I was thrilled to start this new chapter of my life but I also knew that setting goals and accomplishing tangible things contributes to my happiness. So a blog seemed like it would fill that need. Little did I know how busy it would make me. I was really excited when Cami from Tidbits Blog asked me to share my Top Ten Blog Posts of 2016. I dug into my google analytics and found what YOU all read the most on my blog. What a great way to reflect on all that I did this past year in my career and to see what you, my readers enjoy reading the most!
#1 Top Blog Post- My Home Tour
The top visited page on my blog is My Home Tour tab on the Menu bar of my website. I can see why this is the most visited page on my blog. It is what I go to first on any bloggers website. I want to see their home! Once readers click on My Home Tour tab they can browse through each individual post of my home.
#2 Top Blog Post Summer Home Tour
The second most popular blog post was my Summer Home Tour. I was happy to see that this was so popular. I feel like my home is a summer home- it looks best in the summer and spring. Probably because lighter, brighter colors are my favorite.
#3 Top Blog Post Kitchen Reveal
The third most popular post was my Kitchen Reveal. We actually remodeled it soon after we moved into our home about two years ago. This was my first blog post that I did back when I had my old blogger website. I love that it is still making one of my top posts two years later. I can see why it did, I get asked the details on my kitchen daily on my Instagram account.
#4 Top Blog Post Summer Home Tour Exterior Reveal
This post-Summer Home Tour Exterior Reveal was such a fun project for us, we partnered with Lowe’s to update our outdated front porch. I was really excited that Lowe’s wanted to work with us on this project and it made a BIG difference to the curb appeal of our home. They were simple easy changes that went a long way!
#5 Top Blog Post Holiday House Walk 2016
This post has only been on my blog for a few short weeks, but when you join an amazing group of 30 bloggers for The Holiday House Walk 2016 to share your home decked out for Christmas it is bound to get a lot of new people stopping by!
#6 Top Blog Post Lowes Mud Room Makeover
I am excited that this big makeover post- Lowes Mud Room Makeover made it in the top posts. I am not surprised by this one. Country Living Magazine actually featured this post on their Website HERE. I was so thrilled to partner with Lowe’s again to select one home owner to do a room makeover for. I loved how it all turned out- so many changes to a small space that ended better than I imagined.
#7 Top Blog Post Ecelectic Fall Home Tour
Sometimes I put out a post and it is not my favorite- or a take picture and I know I could do better. With this post for our fall home tour- Ecelectic Fall Home Tour I really liked the post and was happy that you all did too. I kept my fall really simple- and I actually got rid of a lot of my fall decor and seasonal decor this past year. So I was happy that the easy tips I gave resonated with all of you.
#8 Top Blog Post Boys Nursery Reveal
Our baby Boys Nursery Reveal was a BIG highlight for us this year and our biggest gift was our little guy. I partnered with Wayfair on this nursery reveal. I put a lot of work into it and probably spent the most time out of any other post this year. Very happy that so many enjoyed reading it even if you weren’t looking to do a nursery in your home. It was also featured on Design Sponge, Project Nursery and Wayfair.
#9 Top Blog Post Baby Bassinet
I am surprised that this post Baby Bassinet made the top. I spent a lot of time searching for this bassinet then painting it the right color. This is one of my top images pinned on Pinterest so I guess that shouldn’t surprise me that it made it to my top ten blog posts! (You can follow me on Pinterest HERE).
#10 Top Blog Post Top Instagram Questions
Last blog post to make my top ten was Top Instagram Questions. I first started my Instagram account, then soon after the blog. I am fortunate enough to have a lot of wonderful readers over on my Instagram. I noticed I kept getting asked the same questions over and over. So I decided to write a blog post on the top questions I get. From where my sofa is from, the paint color throughout our entire home, where I found my kitchen tile and more.

Thank you Shawnna!xxxxx
Just found your blog and I love it! Would you mind sharing some of your favorite sources for Finn’s clothing? It’s hard to find cute baby boy clothing and he always looks adorable! I’m expecting my first due in a few weeks & it’s a boy! 🙂
So happy you are here! And congrats!!
I actually have a lot of things from Nordstrom (love the sale rack) and a lot of great gifts IO received were from H&M. We just got a gift card to Buy Buy Baby and found A LOT there. Really cut things.
Best of luck with your delivery!
