Fall Home Tour- Simple Fall Decor Changes in our Cape

I feel like I took a lot of pictures this past week. But haven’t shared them yet- until today! I joined another Fall Blog Tour. I really like doing these because it pushes me to clean-up and take pictures of areas I maybe wouldn’t be sharing or talking about on the blog for who knows when. I shared my girls bedroom- hung new curtains and was able to squeeze another chair in their room! Also a picture of our new front door and back door painted black. And my favorite new thing in our home- the cushions on our banquette!

Back To School-Three Tips That Keep Mom Sane!

This post might not be for all of you. I almost didn’t share it, but I thought all of my blog posts aren’t for everyone.

I wrote this post because we have had many tears in the morning. And when I look back I can typically relate it back to the fact that we were not prepared.

I didn’t share this pic on my blog today- thought I would share it with just you. Because I do get asked often to see the inside of our closets and where we keep everything. This is the girls bedroom closet. The top row is Ella’s clothes and the bottom is Lola’s. I bought a cheap plastic laundry basket because it can squeeze the best in their closet…exactly where I like to hide it! And a little step stool so they can get to the top shelves.

Wallpaper Accent Wall in the Girls Shared Bedroom…again

Hello from the crazy wallpaper lady! Am I that girl? Well I don’t really care, I like it and that is all that matters. Am I Right?! I know you all agree- do what you love in your home. I have to say that adding a wallpaper accent wall is a really good idea and Domino Magazine agrees with me! Come read why and see what the new wallpaper I just hung in my girls bedroom looks like.

But as promised I will share just with you the “the mess” and it actually isn’t too and looking at these pics. If I could have zoomed in on all the dust bunnies under the beds when I slid them away from the wall, that would have been the real deal.

If you follow me over on Instagram you might have seen my long winded explanation of the day I had when I snapped the below pic. Basically it involved a stove that was too dirty and created a bunch of smoke while baking cookies. Flies everywhere from having the doors open…trying to clear the smoke out. And not being able to walk in this room all while friends from church were over for a visit.

I like to be real with you guys, my home doesn’t always look like the pictures you are going to see on today’s blog post- but hopefully it still feels lived-in and loved.

And you walk away inspired and do not feel less-than when you see our home.

Nursery- Thoughts a year later- Furniture Painting Tips

Painted Piano- Soft Pink- Chalk Paint
