Hello! I have a fun Friday Favorites for you today. An easy healthy recipe, a new favorite dress I bought yesterday from Old Navy, a Home Tour I loved, how we saved $1400 a year and a few other favorite things from the past week!

It has almost been a year since we set up this nursery for our baby boy. I shared what has worked and a few changes we have made- including a new side table. I gave tips on how we painted the furniture in our babies room- the safest way with low VOC- great tips for painting any furniture.

Ella, my oldest just turned 9. We had a fun birthday party for her that actually would be fun for any party. I was surprised to find canvas’s are pretty inexpensive when bought in bulk and acrylic paints are so fun to use. Come see how they turned out and a great way to mix in kids art into your home.

We have been enjoying the little changes we made to the girls shared bedroom in and sitting in their new hanging chair every night since we got it and reading. Such a cozy little spot. I wanted to follow up on that post. I get a lot of questions on how I keep my girls room clean and organized and where we keep it ALL in a small house. So I thought I would share our little tips and some behind the scenes pics that help keep us organized and functioning in tighter quarters.

Happy Friday! I have to share how much I love our new hanging chair. I sing whenever I talk about it. Who knew something like a hanging chair could make me so happy! Actually I knew. I have been wanting one ever since birth…not really but close. Come see how the chair looks in the girls bedroom and the Christmas gift my husband had them make for me in their refreshed bedroom.

I have been eyeing hanging chairs and indoor swings for awhile now. I just love how much character and charm they add to a space. I actually finally have one and I can’t wait to show you mine. Until then these were some of my inspiration photos and an easy DIY swing that I found too! Come see how they can go with any style of home.

Hair is a big deal at our house. I have always had a lot of hair- my husband will tease me and call me “Simba” from the Lion King after I blow dry it. It gets pretty frizzy! I was excited to partner with Dove’s #LoveYourHair campaign to encourage mothers to pass along hair confidence to their daughters. Come see how we really try to love our hair, without tears and where I end up doing their hair most mornings in our little cape.

I always say that we should decorate our homes for our loved ones and for us, not for anyone else. I make my bed everyday even if nobody steps foot into our home. I do it for myself. With that in mind I have always had a hard time buying all the baby gear that comes with a new baby. I want to enjoy looking at it and have it make sense with the rest of our home. I discovered a new baby gear collection from Jonathan Adler, I love how it mixes with my home decor. Come see the new pieces I added, they would make great gifts too!

I follow Annie from Zevjoy on Instagram and am so inspired by all her DIY projects and her gorgeous photography. She is known for her simple, natural and easy way of designing and she does it all on a budget. I asked Annie to share her recent update she just did to her son’s bedroom for my Kids Space Series on my blog. You are going to love her ideas…especially the way she transformed her sons baby dresser.
