Making the Bed- Bedding Inserts and our Latest Bedding
The key to a fluffy bed is all about the bedding inserts! I have worked in a high-end design store since I was 15, a lot of years! I bought my first fluffy duvet when I was 20, and it cost around $300, I saved up for it, I wanted fluffy bedding instead of any pair of name brand shoes or bag. And guess what, I had that same duvet, for 20ish years, up until maybe 4 years ago, when I gave it to someone for a bedroom makeover. When you buy quality inserts, they last and they are the foundation to every good bed. Bedding Inserts and Bedding Basics- ... Read More

White Walls to a Cozy Blue Wallpaper Room
I met Dave and Jenny Butler through instagram! I had been following him for a while on his podcast and on his social media. He has a religious podcast (called Don't Miss This) that I have always found to be exactly what I needed to hear, and they have sent such kind uplifting messages. I wanted to see if I could do something for them, and give them a restful space that reflected their interests and personalities. I asked if I could give them a bedroom makeover! Luckily they agreed, so I put together a plan and we got started! Sharing ways to make a large room look inviting and cozy. Bedroom ... Read More

Lola’s Bedroom- Most recent Photos and Sources
When we bought this 1970's home in Utah back in November 2020, I wasn’t sure we were going to add a second floor. I originally liked the idea of adding faux dormers to give the front a little more curb appeal. We decided to do the second floor addition, which is where the girls bedrooms and bathroom are, they love it!! I linked everything I could at the end of this post! Lola helped me pick most everything for her room. She basically likes what I like. I could have done it all without her knowing and she would have been thrilled. But I kept her in the loop, mostly for fun and for us to ... Read More

Breakfast Burritos- Not just for Breakfast!
These breakfast burritos are one of my kids’ most requested breakfasts. We eat them so much that we usually just make a big batch and freeze the rest. They are simple, but delicious and packed with protein. A favorite before school breakfast! I feel silly even writing this into a blog post, but I get asked for the "recipe" daily! It is honestly so easy. But the best part is you can add anything extra you want to these from extra veggies, chopped potatoes from dinner last night! Everything you'll need to make these breakfast burritos. I always add sausage, eggs, and cheese inside an ... Read More
Laundry Room- Shelf over Washer and Dryer and an Ironing Board in the Wall
We have a nook for a washer and dryer in the hall connected to our primary bedroom. Ideally it would be nice to have a washer and dryer in our closet, or a large laundry room on the main floor. But this little laundry nook works great, we can quickly start a load of laundry from one of the most central places in our home. After doing laundry for seven years, all the way in the dark unfinished basement, in our Connecticut home, I knew a washer and dryer in convenient spots was priority over extra closet space or anything else. When we remodeled we made sure to add a washer and dryer on each ... Read More
