We have this area in our yard that is visually a focal point by the pool, it really wasn't being used to it's full potential. You know the saying "build it and they will come"?! That is what we did. Added some plants, chairs and outdoors games. Now we use this area way more! And it looks so pretty! Now everyone is spending even more time outside playing outdoor games. Thank you Walmart for sponsoring this post Walmart Roll-Backs Patio Heater- We have 3 of these in the backyard. They have been a lifesaver on colder evenings! And so nice to have when we host ... Entry- Adding Character with Wood Trim and Wallpaper
My goal with our home is to make it as cozy as possible. Like an instant hug. Every corner as a fun surprise waiting, and it isn't Kevin jumping out to spook you (which he does). A home full of personality and character. Anyone else want that?? With the cozy goal in mind we decided to add wood box trim to a few walls in our entry. I knew after adding the trim, painting it, then adding wallpaper it would make our entry feel like a cozy room. This is a great way to make a brand new home have some character! Summer Berry Crisp
Have I told you how much I love a crisp? Peach crisp, apple crisp, berry crisp...I love them all! It really just depends on the time of year it is for the filling you want to use. Summer is when you're going to find the best berries, think fruit stands and Farmers Markets! What's also great is you can use frozen berries and love this dessert all year long. Ella helped me make this Berry Crisp, she agreed it was quick and so yummy! We had minimal clean up because we used a cast iron skillet. Sharing that recipe with you today…. ... Read More
Primary Bathroom Before and After- Utah Ranch Home
Finally sharing our primary bathroom!! While it has been 95% done since November, we had a couple of faucets that were backordered for a really long time, and they just arrived! The bathroom before was interesting. While I didn't hate the wallpaper, the orange carpet, especially by the toilet had to go. I think this bathroom made Kevin's first reaction to seeing the house a "no". But I could see the possibilities. Ready to see the before and after of our primary bathroom??? I linked all the sources at the end of the post, from tile, paint to decor! Primary Bathroom Before- Primary ... Read More
House Regrets- What I wish we would have done differently
I don't like to focus on the negative. Rather spin something I might not love into a positive. That being said, I think sharing a few things that I wish we would have done differently when we remodeled this house might help some of you! Overall very happy and beyond grateful for our home and with how our remodel turned out. Just sharing a different view or way of doing something that could be better if you are in the decision making process. 1- Kitchen Regret- 2- Mini Fridge Regret- 3- Door Regret- 4- Finish Work Regret- 5- Ice Maker Regret- 6- Lights ... New Air Fryer, Breakfast Egg Rolls and The Home Depot Sale
Sharing our new air fryer today, with an easy Egg Roll Breakfast recipe! Perfect Memorial Day Breakfast. Also sharing The Home Depot Memorial Day Sales, including air fryers! We had a big air fryer that we used a ton in Connecticut that somehow got lost (or left behind) in the move to Utah. We don't have a microwave so we use the air fryer to heat leftovers or when we want to cook something in a short amount of time. Also makes food taste crispy without using any oil. Personally, I think sweet potato fries taste so much better and are crispier when cooked in the air fryer! Thank you The ... Read More
Inside our Garage- Garage Gym, Garage Floors and More
We didn't have a garage for the 7 years we lived in Connecticut, so now that we have one it is a REAL treat. Our garage has three separate garage door, we turned one of the garage stalls into our garage gym. We initially wanted to do a stand-alone gym in the yard, but couldn't build anything due to the water easement (basically a big water pipe running in our yard). We park both our cars in the other two stalls. Besides cars, there really isn't much room for anything else. We walk through the garage multiple times a day so we wanted to make the floor nice. And, we LOVE how it all turned ... Read More
Baby Boy Nursery
My sweet niece, Kasidee and her husband, Tanner are having a baby boy in July! They are going to be such loving, good parents. We are thrilled for them! Kevin and I offered to makeover their spare bedroom into a nursery. They just moved into a new home they are renting, so we wanted to honor their rental agreements and use things that could easily be taken down without permanently damaged the walls. Thank you Walmart.com for sponsoring this post Nursery Bedroom Before- Baby Boy Nursery After- Shop the room by clicking on a link below! ... Read More
