I took to Instagram asking what your favorite games were to play with family and friends. I don't know if I have received more suggestions on something I asked before! Passionate game players, I get it. We LOVE playing games. Especially in the summer and when we go on trips together. I linked up the MOST suggested games, and games that we personally own. I put a ⭐️ if I think it is a must-have! We also shared the amazon ratings, because those totally influence if I buy something! Tell us your favorite game or let us know if it is on the list!! ... Our Light Fixtures and How to Pick The Right Size
I feel like I have seen every light fixture there is online. So much time browsing lights. But finally selected and ordered the lights for our Remodel, I think I am going to have a lot of free time on my hands now that is done! Ended up ordering over 50 lights! Entry, bedrooms, bathrooms, exterior, kitchen, hallways, etc. One thing that really helped me decide on lights was putting them in the room…. not REALLY "in the room", but via computer magic. I shared a video on Instagram how to try something on for size HERE. I will walk you through it on this post, keep reading! One of the ... Read More
Our Primary Bedroom and Bathroom Plans
I had several people ask me if my "look" is going to change with our Utah home. It would be hard to drastically change my style, because it is just something I naturally do. That being said, my style has evolved over the years, but there are always smilier elements. Our bedroom and bathroom is no exception. I would say it leans towards a Scandinavian style, simple, and lots of texture. I like a lived-in eclectic look. Today I am sharing our plans for our bedroom and bathroom. Bedroom Before and Now... We are leaving the brick wall and just giving it a paint update. Also the windows ... Read More

Pickled Wood Ceilings- How we took out the Orange Tone
I have shared a couple times how we wanted to lighten our wood ceiling, but not paint it white. Although I do think white would be really pretty, we really like the warmth and the contrast of the wood….but our 1970's wood ceiling felt too orange. We tested a lot of different stains and finally found a stain that didn't go gray, or weird with our wood. It is actually a pickling, which is best on oak. Pickling allows you to brighten wood, without covering up the grain. Pickled Wood Ceilings- Remove the Orange Tone Can you see the subtle difference?? I know many liked the before how it ... 1970’s Ranch Home Remodel Updates- What it Cost and Dining Room Plans
Things are coming along with the remodel! We are hoping to have it mostly done to move in end of July, crossing our fingers and trying really hard to make it happen! But don't say "I told you so" if it doesn't happen. Ha! It does feel like they are moving pretty fast, we go to the house everyday and there are changes, which leaves us feeling hopeful. The kids are excited, which is making us excited! We have gotten the question "why didn't you just buy a new house" or "why didn't you knock down this house and start over". The number one reason is... we like a lot of the charm of this house, ... Read More
