We stopped into Serena & Lily when my friends were visiting from Utah. It is just FULL of inspiration!! Our Westport Connecticut location was an old home converted into a store, beyond charming. I snapped some photos while we were in the store, drooling. I have several of their accents pieces in our home and love them all. They are just the best quality and also statement pieces. I recently got a new accent chair from Serena & Lily and thought I would share a photo of it. I was hesitant to show it yet, because I also got a new rug I am on the fence on, which means it isn't staying. ... Read More
Front Walkway Update- Concrete Stepping Stones with Grass
Our exterior has gone through some minor and major updates! Sometimes I look at older pictures of the house and think, I can't believe it looked like that! I really was just smitten with the older house charm, the location (beach area) and the big backyard is hard to find around here, especially so close to town and the beach. And I knew we could give the exterior some major curb appeal with small and simple changes along the way. Here are some up the improvements we have made and written about on the blog- Siding to vinyl shake shingles Replaced the iron railing and posts and ... Read More
H&M Home Spring Home Decor (affordable!) and what I bought!
My friends and I just went to NYC for the weekend. We ate all the yummy things, saw Chicago (it was good!), did a lot of walking and shopping! One of my all time favorite places to go! I love that we can just drive an hour from our house and have access to so many fun things to do and see. I always stop into H&M Home, it never disappoints. So affordable and really nice quality. This time I bought a bunch of baskets for our new master closet, not the best idea carrying around 7 baskets around New York City, but I was committed and some friends to help! Thought I would link up some of ... Read More
Dormer Master Bedroom with a new Affordable Rug and Finishing Touches!
Friends of ours, Joel and Sue recently moved into a new home, after living in the same home for over 20+ years. Joel was a manager of a large estate in Fairfield, and lived on the property with his family in a separate home. Unfortunately he lost that job and the place they called home for so many years. They had to move to a new place. It is the cutest older home with a lot of charm. I met Joel and Sue when I moved to Connecticut 5 years ago, they own a CrossFit in my area. I was planning on trying all the CrossFit's then deciding what one to go to, but they were both so nice and I ended up ... Read More

Outdoor Furniture Sources and Deck Progress
Our deck is coming along!!! We can walk on it! And we could walk right off it….the sides aren't up yet! Hopefully this week. Yesterday it was well over 55 degrees. It was gorgeous. Finn was playing on our slide, and in the sand and even asked me for some water so his toys could "swim". Kevin and I were measuring for something exciting we are adding in our backyard, any guesses??!! And also measuring for our deck furniture. Wanted to show you the deck progress and what furniture we are adding. I searched through Target, Walmart, World Market to Serena & Lily and picked some of my favorite ... Read More
Amazon Favorites- Curtain Rod, Curtain Panels, Bed and more!
Wanted to share things I bought this past week from Amazon and they are already favorites!!! Who doesn't get excited when they find a winner on Amazon? We recently tried white curtain panels for the bedroom makeover we did for my friend Nikki. I was looking to replace the IKEA curtain panels that I have used in several makeovers, because Ikea isn't very convenient to get! And I have to say we found a winner (keep reading for our replacement!) Also an upholstered bed we have used in three makeovers so far. White Boho Master Bedroom Makeover
We gifted this bedroom makeover for a sweet friend of mine, Nikki. I met her while waiting for our daughters, who were killing it in a hip hop class:). Nikki was instantly an example of a genuine, loving person. We got talking and I found out that her home had burned down about a year prior. They were all set to move in, and had moved in all of their furniture and possessions. Thankfully they decided not to sleep there, because their brand new home caught fire and burned down in the middle of the night. It was a traumatic experience, as you can imagine. They had to rebuild and do it all ... Read More

Why Go to Kona, Hawaii and What to Do Once You’re There- Printable!
I recently got to explore Kona, Hawaii, (the biggest Hawaiian Island), with my favorite travel buddy, Kevin. I had never been to the Big Island before. While Maui will always be my favorite, we couldn't help but fall in love with the black sand, wild horses, tropical foliage and people there!! After talking to my friend who just went to Kona a couple months ago and listening to our tour guide talk about Kona, we determined that the Kona water is one of the big reasons people come to Kona- deep water and different things to see in the water vs Maui. Also lava rock was everywhere on Kona, very ... Read More
