We love Christmas but sometimes the stuff that comes along with it, can leave us feeling stressed. We have started giving experiences to our kids and it has been so much fun! Gifting experiences is a great idea for grandparent gifts too! Your grown up children will thank you for creating memories for your grandkids and keeping their homes clutter-free. Why give experiences this Christmas? We all know that the excitement over a new toy fades over time. If our Marie Kondo Mondays taught us anything, it's that we all have more stuff than we use. More than that, the stuff we ... Read More
Remodel & Elevations PLUS What I Bought from Serena & Lily Black Friday SALE
You are not alone if you have found yourself wondering if we are REALLY going to do our renovation! I shared WAY back on August 4th that we were going to do an addition to our home (on this post). Everything always takes a bit longer than you wish it would. I have been sharing on Instagram Stories the progress, and a lot of progress has been made this week!!! We did decide on a contractor so that was a big update that I never shared. We had two bids, one was about 50k more than the other and we had worked with contractor that was less anyways, and really like him, he has done other things for ... Read More
Favorite Winter Coats and Boots- Where to Donate Coats
Anyone else like to get a new coat and boots each year? I personally do. But I always donate my coat from the previous year. I tend to wear the same things over and over, so I know I really won't wear the old coat and it will sit in my closet, going to waste. Our girls both grew out of their coats I had bought them last year, still in great condition. So as I was shopping for new coats and boots and I thought of ways of how could I donate our old coat and boots. I wish I knew a local need or someone to give them to, then I thought of my friend Sonya and how she does such a wonderful coat drive ... Read More

Our New Built-in Window Seat
I credit this window seat idea to Lola and her friend Maria Elena. Kevin and I were moving around chairs, as one does. We moved the swivel white chair down to our living room that was up here in our family room. While the space was without a chair, Lola and her friend moved the two ottomans over to the window, creating a little window seat. I thought it was so cute and creative. They were sitting their playing dolls and looking outside. I casually mentioned on my Instagram Stories how I loved the look, and of course now wanted a window seat there! Above is what it looked like ... Read More
Our Christmas Cards 2019 and Family Photos
I sure hope the tradition of sending Christmas Cards never dies. We LOVE getting them from others. And we actually save them every year from others and make a little book out of them. Our personal Christmas Cards I like to frame and put out (if I have the space) and just framing them keeps them protected to save through the years. This year we partnered with Minted to order our Christmas Cards, just couldn't resist the blush and copper card. Kind-of felt like they were made for us! Below are some of my FAVORITE Christmas Card Designs. Some are so unique. I haven't ever been ... Read More

“Cloffice” Closet turned into an Office- Small Space Hack
We recently made over our friends office into a guest room. They were debating if they should leave it an office or use it as a guest room. It can be a hard decision, trying to figure out how to maximize a room. Since they have guests often and Lauren works from home a couple times a week, both a home office and a guest room were important. I suggested to use this bonus bedroom as a guest room because you can really put an office desk anywhere, but you can't put a guest bed anywhere!! Today we are going to share what we did for their office. We went back and forth about putting a desk in ... Read More
DIY Christmas Ornament or Gift Tag made with Clay
My sweet friend Annie came over the other day to collaborate on a few Christmas gift ideas and she brought with her the cutest DIY clay Christmas Ornament. It could also be a DIY Christmas Tag. You just need a few things to make these. They remind me of play-dough actually. I have made salt dough ornaments before and those are a little bit more work. These are so easy, anyone could do it!!! When Annie (she has a blog- Most Lovely Things) came over she decorated my mantle and strung the clay ornaments onto my new tassel garland (I have 2 up) and mixed in the wood beaded garland. I ...
