It looks like most stores are getting their outdoor furniture back in-stock! How exciting! When I was at Ikea they were setting up their displays and I have seen Target has their outdoor furniture out too. We didn't get our outdoor furniture until later in the summer, so we are really looking forward to pulling it all out and using it more this year. I wonder when I can bring it out of the shed? When do you? We are get a rain storm today, so still waiting. Perfect time to start planning for your outdoor spaces, before all the good things are sold out. I was just at my friend Annie's ... Friday Favorites starts with Wreaths and a Sconce
There are so many reasons to be excited for Spring. One of my Favorite things is cleaning off the front porch, adding some new plants and a wreath. I thought why wait for Spring? We can at least brighten up the door with a new wreath. Today I am sharing a few of my favorite wreaths for my Friday Favorites. Our front door didn't get a new wreath....just some new ribbon did the trick! I had a Magnolia Wreath from the Fall and love it- really a timeless wreath. This wreath I can really use ALL year long- Spring, Summer, Fall and even Winter. In the Fall I tied a scarf around the back ... Read More
Quick Healthy Dinners- Favorite Things from Trader Joe’s
The other night I was looking what to make for dinner that would be QUICK- HEALTHY- WHOLE30 or PALEO. Did I mention quick?? Because come 5 pm sharp my kids are ready for dinner. And we really want to make sure they get a variety of veggies at dinner. You know how some families do Taco Tuesday or Pizza on Fridays...maybe that is your fun family?? (I secretly want to do that, but haven't yet). We have Frittata once a week, really it is "mom's cooking" so it's either Frittata or one of the meals below. And Trader Joe's is an absolute favorite place to go for groceries, really it makes it fun for ... Read More

Christmas Tree in our Small Family Room
I am excited to show you the Christmas tree tree's in our Front Room which we call the Family Room too because this is where we gather as a family to read, play and dance. And today is another stop on our Seasons of Home Series hosted by Ella Claire Inspired. I did some rearranging in this room for the Christmas Season and I have to say I love the change! Just moved pillows from one room to the other and wala! viola! tada! A new room! I keep saying this room reminds me of a giant sweater with all the yarn, felt, fur and texture. Just super cozy and warm- because in a 1950's house the ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with a trip to Target- Hearth and Hand
You know that question- "If you could go to dinner with ANYONE alive who would it be?" Before I give my answer. I want you to stop and think what would you say? I feel like my answer changes depending on the month. But right now it is for sure Joanna Gains. She is pretty inspiring. I love her perspective, value she puts on family and also her passion for design. That leads me to why I popped into Target. To see Joanna and Chip Gaines new Harth and Hand Collection! Obviously. I am sure glad we did! I honestly loved a lot of the new collection. I thought I had seen all of it on ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with Most asked Questions Lately
I thought it would be fun to answer some of the most asked questions today on my Friday Favorites. I get asked a lot of the same questions over on Instagram, because that is where I share the most "behind the scenes" on Instagram Stories. I have to say the that Instagram Stories is one of my new favorite things. But I have learned a big lesson. If something scares you that means you should do it! I really don't know if that goes for everything in life. I guess if it is "good" then it does. At first I was like "nope" not going to use it. I didn't like the idea of another social media ... Friday Favorites starts with Design Style
I had to write a little blurb about me and my design style. I always freeze up. Because I don't want to pigeon hole myself into one "style". Because honestly I really appreciate and love so many styles. Do you ever wonder why you do things to your home? Like why do I gravitate towards THAT pillow or putting things together a certain way? I think it does have a lot to do with what we see, read, how we grew up, something that speaks to our soul. That is what makes up our design style. To me homes should be designed with a purpose. It could just be something simple as "because it makes us ... Read More
Pumpkin Crunch Cake- Paleo and Gluten Free Dessert
When you work with designers everything is elevated to a new level. At the store I used to work at we would do Christmas Parties, Baby Showers and all the parties and joke that they cost A LOT to throw, not because of the actual party but because we would use the party as a reason to redecorate! When I threw a baby shower I used the shower as a deadline to finish our basement kitchen addition. Why do we do that to ourselves? Now the decor was amazing but the food was typically something I would always remember. My wedding shower was in September and Karen who was hosting made a yummy Pumpkin ... Read More
