My sisters kitchen its basically a duplicate of our CT kitchen! She did the exact same backsplash, added a built-in banquette, white kitchen cabinets and lemon wallpaper. Makes me so happy to go over to her home. She does need some help pulling it all together with some decor, a light fixture and new dining chairs. I ordered a few things from Walmart ,before it all goes out of stock! Thought I would show the decor I picked out and then show you her kitchen next week! Thank you Walmart for sponsoring this post Brushed Brass Chandelier- gorgeous light fixture and under $100! Mid ... Read More
1970’s Ranch Home Remodel Updates- What it Cost and Dining Room Plans
Things are coming along with the remodel! We are hoping to have it mostly done to move in end of July, crossing our fingers and trying really hard to make it happen! But don't say "I told you so" if it doesn't happen. Ha! It does feel like they are moving pretty fast, we go to the house everyday and there are changes, which leaves us feeling hopeful. The kids are excited, which is making us excited! We have gotten the question "why didn't you just buy a new house" or "why didn't you knock down this house and start over". The number one reason is... we like a lot of the charm of this house, ... Read More
Friday Favorites- Amazon Home Favorites and Parade of Homes Bedroom
It has been awhile since I did an Amazon Home Favorites Round-up! I was searching for outdoor furniture (found some cute lounge chairs) and I noticed a few of my favorites for home decor from Amazon were back in-stock! Also, I helped out at a local Parade of Homes that was all built by women. Such a neat thing to be part of! I shared some of it on my Instagram stories and received a lot of questions about sources, so I wanted to share that here too! Parade of Homes Girls Bedroom- First of all I had lots of questions on what a Parade of Homes is. A Parade of Homes is a branded showcase ... Read More
Our Tile Selections- How to Pick Tile- Where to Shop for Tile
Right now is the deadline to order all our tile for our remodel. As you can imagine, picking tile for an entire house takes a lot of time!!! We looked at a couple local tile shops and didn't see what we were looking for. So I went online and found a lot of great tile. We wanted a textured tile, that had a lot of character and charm. Most of the tile we selected is terracotta. Some of the tile is cement with a fun pattern. I have decided life is too short to not enjoy your home and personal style, whatever that might be! My biggest tip for selecting tile is to save images of rooms you like ... Read More
Laundry Room Ideas and Top Recommended Washer and Dryer
We are in the market for a new washer and dryer! Picking a washer and dryer can be a lot of pressure, anyone else?! Kevin was like, wow, you are really spending a lot of time on this! When we moved we left our washer and dryers with the home, didn't make sense to pay to have them moved, even tho we did like them! Since we are remodeling our home, I am also looking for Laundry Room Ideas. We are actually going to do a washer and dryer on each floor of our new home. The second floor we will do a stacking washer and dryer (for the girls), in our bedroom we will have a side by side, and in the ... Read More
Our Thrive Market Favorites- Paleo Snacks
We have had a membership with Thrive Market on and off since they started in 2014. I originally got a membership when I started a Paleo Challenge with my CrossFit gym. I was looking for Paleo snacks and foods that were easy to buy and find, I like how Thrive organizes food by diet, making shopping easy. And I like how the prices are more affordable than places like Whole Foods, I have compared items we regularly purchase. I also really like Thrive Market branded food items too! I share my orders I get often on Instagram, and several of you requested a blog post of my favorite things we order. ... Read More
Boys Shared Bedroom Makeover- Gray Walls
One of my best friends, Laila, has two cute boys who share a bedroom. She was looking for ideas to give it some personality. I offered to come and help her once we moved back to Utah. So here we are! When Laila and her husband were building this new home I loved that even tho they had the space, they decided to have their beds be in the same room. They have a "hang out space" right outside their bedroom that could have easily been another room. She felt having them share a room would keep them close, best friends, and it would keep them in check! So we wanted to make their shared room a space ... Read More

Storage Room turned Home Office for my Parents
My parents had a room that was not used to its full potential. Can you relate? The bedroom was basically a storage room. Since moving back to Utah I was excited to take over this room and give them an office. Both of them do a lot of work from home and it all ends up on top of the kitchen table (same story at our house) then it needs to be cleared before dinner each night. Needless to say, they needed a home office! I asked them if we could make it over and my Dad had the room cleared out the next day! Thank you The Home Depot for sponsoring this post First things first I put together ... Read More
