My sister is really the best sugar cookie, cake and cupcake baker I know. So every year around Christmas she get's a text "what is your favorite sugar cookie recipe?" And she sends it then we make it! Her recipe is honestly the best. The best part is there is no "refrigerate for an hour before rolling out". I am sharing her sugar cookie recipe here, for selfish reasons, so I know where to find it every year!! And bonus part we have a FREE Christmas Sugar Cookie printable for you at the bottom of this post. You get a recipe and a piece of Christmas art to hang in your home or to attach to a ... Read More

FALL Favorites starts with Apple Sauce Recipe and TJ Maxx
When my sister was in town we went apple picking. A tradition we made since moving to Connecticut close to 4 years ago. And every year we have gone we have thankfully, had visitors to bring with us. We always stop and get apple cider donuts too. The best when they are warm and fresh! A memory I hope my kids never forget. Do you go apple picking in your area? After our apple picking adventure we got home and made apple crisp and apples sauce. And by we, I mean my sister and Lola. It just warmed by heart to have her here and loving on my kids. She has a family of her own and I made sure to tell ... Read More
Pumpkin Smoothie and Pumpkin Spice Granola
Smoothies are the best. When I am in a hurry or I am craving dessert for breakfast I opt for a smoothie instead. I think about 5 years ago I made a pumpkin smoothie and loved it then forgot about it. Decided to test it out again, nothing like ringing in September with a little pumpkin recipe. I actually use pumpkin all year round. Also tested this recipe to see if Finn (my two year old) would like it, he is a smoothie monster. Results were successful! Even added a Pumpkin Spice Granola to the top. Yummy to snack on it's own too! Sharing this pumpkin recipe with Ella Claire Inspired for her ... Read More

Trader Joe’s Shopping List- Top 40 Items
We love a stop at Trader Joe's! It doesn't feel like grocery shopping to me. Because I really do not enjoy grocery shopping, but I like Trader Joe's. Maybe Trader Joes' is fun because I know I get flowers every time or a little plant. Maybe because it is a smaller scale grocery store it goes quicker. Or maybe it is because the food you buy is specialty you feel special and excited for what you get to eat! What is it?? I shared a post HERE about what I buy from Trader Joe's and recipes we make over and over. And a lot of request came after for a Shopping List. Also none of the things I ... Read More
Smashed Sweet Potatoes- My Favorite Side Dish
I don't know if shared before that Kevin is a wonderful cook and a creative one too! We both cook but he is the one to cook dinner most often. We are a team and both do a lot of the house stuff that includes cooking, so why not send in the best player! My favorite thing he makes is Smashed Sweet Potatoes. I request these often! They make the perfect healthy, paleo, gluten-free side dish. And this is about the only way my kids like to eat sweet potatoes, well besides in fry form. I always say give me a sweet potato and I am a happy camper. When I started eating a strict paleo diet sweet ... Read More
Stuffed Sweet Peppers Appetizer- Everyone will LOVE!
We had friends over for dinner a couple weeks ago. And my friend Sarah, showed up with an appetizer that everyone went crazy for and loved! If Kevin and Ella will eat it then I know it is a hit! So I had to get the recipe. It is one of those recipes that once you read this blog post you won't be back to read it again. Make it once and you won't forget it. I shared the recipe over on Instagram stories that night my friend brought it to our dinner. And the messages haven't stoped coming in "what was that recipe again?" So I thought stuffed peppers needed a blog post. Next I made the ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with Art Sale and Outdoor
I have been getting asked a lot lately where I find all of my artwork. I actually have a blog post with 5 different ways that I collect unique art and a story about one of my favorite paintings. The more personal you can make selecting artwork the better. I talked on a blog post how some art can make your home look cheap. That does not relate to the price you paid. It is more about how you go about selecting the art for your home. You could pick art because of the colors (which I do pay attention to) or you could pick artwork because it provokes a memory or emotion. Just be selective and ... Read More
Friday Favorites starts with Wreaths and a Sconce
There are so many reasons to be excited for Spring. One of my Favorite things is cleaning off the front porch, adding some new plants and a wreath. I thought why wait for Spring? We can at least brighten up the door with a new wreath. Today I am sharing a few of my favorite wreaths for my Friday Favorites. Our front door didn't get a new wreath....just some new ribbon did the trick! I had a Magnolia Wreath from the Fall and love it- really a timeless wreath. This wreath I can really use ALL year long- Spring, Summer, Fall and even Winter. In the Fall I tied a scarf around the back ... Read More
