I recently shared all our bedding and everything we use from cozy soft sheets to fluffy duvet inserts. But, did you know, the most import part of a bed that you love is a comfortable, non-toxic mattress! If you don’t have a comfortable mattress what is the point of all the extra fluff? Can we all agree that we don't care what the color of your walls are, or if your duvet matches the room, as long as the mattress we sleep on is comfortable?! Sharing all our mattresses, and bonus, they are all on sale! Thank you Tuft & Needle for sponsoring this post Tuft & Needle Presidents ... Read More
Easy Guide using my favorite Essential Oils around Pets and favorite Pet Care Products
I get asked occasionally if essential oils can be used around pets. I'll start with saying I have pets. And kids. Both are so important to me! Lot's of opinions and misinformation out there can lead to fear when using essential oils around pets and misuse of essential oils. So I'm sharing how easy diffusing is in the home has been for me. Also, be aware that many veterinarians are still becoming aware of essential oils, so please refer to a Veterinarian that is skilled and trained in the use of essential oils or holistic practices for the best route to go with your animal. Plant Parent Tips- How to Help Plants Grow and More
I love my houseplants so much. Most of my decor is in the form of a plant. I like that they add life to a room. NASA researchers have done studies on the best, and most efficient ways to clean the air in space stations. The conclusion, they recommend 15-18 plants for an 1800 square foot home. Basically 1 plant for every 100 square feet. Some studies have debunked that theory, and claim we need 10-100 plants per square foot of home. Either way, we need plants and that is math I can get behind. Plants can absorb toxins through their leaves and serve as a natural way to filter the air in ... Read More
Maximize Storage in Entry with Dresser, Armoire and Coat Tree
We use to have a sofa table in our entry, which was cute. But last month I was looking around my house and trying to maximize every inch of our home. No matter the size of your home, every item in our home needs a place to go! When I shared the recent bedroom makeover for Susan and Wayne, I was surprised that several commented "where did all the stuff go that was on her dresser?" Often if there is an open surface we just sit stuff there, especially if that space isn't decorated yet. We found a place for everything that was on their dresser, humidifier, candy, clothes etc. Same for our entry ... Read More

Home Office with Color of the Year Walls- Blue Nova
Last year we made over my best friend, Laila's office. The room already had nice board and batten, and then we brought in some fun colors through the rug and accessories. The other day we were in the room and said, why we didn't paint the room?! I've talked about how homes are always evolving, and Laila and I both decided a fun color would be nice to add. But not just any color, the color of the year! We also gave her IKEA bookcase an upgrade! This is what Laila's office looked like before the paint. Cute, right? All the walls had just gotten painted in one of my favorite white paints, ... Read More
Dining Room- New Oval Table and Plans
We went from a 72" round dining table to a 96" oval dining table. I shared that we covered up a door in our dining room, we didn't need with an arched glass cabinet, which matched one on the other side of our fireplace. After doing that it made the room feel so much bigger! We no longer needed to keep a walkway for the door, making it so we could actually fit a bigger table, and one that fit the rectangle shape of the room. This is where we put the other arch cabinet, the piano was on the wall where all the portrait wall is. We moved the piano to our family room, it fit perfectly ... Read More
