Our Entry PLUS 10 Things I Bought at Walmart this Week!
I have received requests to do more round-ups of what I like from stores or what I bought! A blog reader said that she works full-time and doesn't have a lot of time to shop online, I get it! And some of us just want to see what others buy! It is kind-of like seeing into others homes at night (you know you look if windows are open wide!) I bought a couple of new clothing items from Walmart this past week. A few items to update our entry! We recently had a big pipe added right in the middle of our closet, because we added central air (which is exciting and will be so nice in the summer) ... Read More
A New Chapter in our Life and Bucket List- With Printable
At the start if 2019 I put something on my Bucket List or Vision Board that I knew would bless our family. It was a big thing. Something that could look scary or crazy to some. I was actually hesitant to share this. But my sweet mom encouraged me to share it and said all of you would want to know (Kevin helped me write this). Something that would literally change the way we live day to day. I wrote that I wanted Kevin to be able to chose if he would continue to work in Professional Soccer. Before I share what he chose, I want to share the back story. Kevin went to school to ... Read More
Favorite Movie House, and Dining Table Options
Well we decided that we REALLY are banquette people. With our remodel going on we could decide what type of people we are, banquette people or regular chair people. And we are 100% the people that want a sofa in your kitchen. Anyone watch the movie The Holiday just to see the homes? Even the kitchen in the LA home felt very cozy because they had fabric in the kitchen with a cozy settee. Not everyone can have a banquette in their kitchen but there are ways to make it extra cozy. Texture is everything!! And inspiration is everywhere. The Holiday Cottage House- Love the fireplace in the ... Read More

Part 2- 10 Things you could DITCH in your home
One of my most popular blog posts was "10 Things you could do without in your home". I talked about how we do without a microwave, plastic wrap, tin foil, tampons, plastic bags, paper towels and more! Billie Razor reached out to me to test out their new razor (which I had already bought a couple months prior- thanks FB ads!). It made me think how disposable razors are something we should do without in our homes. Instead invest in a nicer razor that you only have to replace the blade every month. Plus Bille Razors are actually cute hanging on your shower wall! So let's dig in and share 10 ... Read More
Go-to Brownie Recipe, Paleo and Gluten-Free with Printable
I have shared these brownies before, this time I have a printable! They are hands-down our families favorite brownies. Bonus they are gluten-free and paleo (if you leave off the little heart cookie!). Basically 3 core ingredients, which all of them are always on-hand at our home! Ella can make these on her own, so we have them regularly. And my mom who is known to say "is this paleo?" before she even has a bite, wanting to judge what it will tastes like…loves them! Around Valentines we grab a box of the heart cookies from Trader Joe's and add the little cookie to the brownie right ... Read More

Family Room in a Small Cape gets a Major Makeover
I remember the first time I saw this home I had tears well up in my eyes, because I knew I would makeover this entire home. It wasn't an accident we met them, it was a gift to us. We first went to this charming little cape, because Rachel (the mom) had written to us when we asked for local kids rooms to makeover. We selected her son Luke, to do a makeover for. Rachel wasn't home when Kevin and I went to see Lukes bedroom, and looking back, it was a blessing she wasn't. Rachels friend let us in to measure Lukes room, then she asked if we wanted to see all their home. It just needed some love. ... Read More
DIY Floating Shelves- Get the Custom “built-in” look with Wallpaper!
We wanted to give a blank wall the recent makeover room we have been working on some charm and character. Initially I thought of doing a built-in bookcase, like we did for my sister-in-laws nursery. Kevin was game for it. But when we built those bookcases we had two people working on it (Kevin and his brother) and it took about two days. So with that math, it would take him A LOT of time, that we really don't have. After much thought I came up with the idea to do floating shelves. And DIY the floating shelves with some wallpaper, to make a statement wall and give the feeling and look of a ... Read More
