My sister who recently got married to Mitch who has 3 darling daughters. Their youngest, Kendyl, just turned 12, and for her birthday they were looking to do something fun to her room. I offered to give it a makeover! Since her bedroom is on the smaller side, about 10'x10' I really wanted to make it fun, like her. This teen bedroom really packs a punch, and honestly turned out so sweet. Thank you The Company Store for sponsoring this post Here is a photo of all of them, Kendyl is the youngest, blonde. Bedroom Makeover with Dormer Windows- Peacock Bedding
This makeover was so fun! I knew the window dormer and pitched ceilings would make for a challenge but in the end a cozy primary bedroom with lots of charm for friends we love! Susan and Wayne are my parents close friends of 40 years, they lived across from us growing up. Susan babysat my sister and I, and then as I got older I babysat her kids. We just love their sweet family so much. This was such a big transformation! Thanks to The Company Store for Sponsoring this post! Bedroom Before- This is what their bedroom looked before. After seeing the room, I came up with a plan! ... Read More
Teen Girl Bedroom- Checkered Wallpaper with Built-in Nook for Desk
I was talking to my friend April, (who is also my neighbor) and she had mentioned that her daughter, Elle, has a hard time getting to sleep and actually wanting to sleep in her room. April said, "maybe if I decorated it, she would like it more." I totally agree with that, when kids like their bedrooms, they want to spend time in there, and then hopefully makes them feel comfortable enough to sleep in their beds! It is the snowball effect. So I offered to give Elle a bedroom makeover! Thank you The Company Store for sponsoring this makeover! Elle Bedroom Plan- Checkered Wallpaper // ... Read More
Family Room Christmas 2023
I shared our piano set-up yesterday and wanted to share a closer look at our Christmas tree in here! Our fireplace is the star of the show in this room. I started with a lot of garland on the mantel, and layered decor with it, a collection of trees mostly and boxwood topiaries. Sharing all the details here! We did get a new Christmas tree in this room. Our previous tree had lights that didn't work in the center, and we had gotten a full credit on it, my sister in-law asked if we had any trees we weren't using so we passed that to her. We ordered this downswept Christmas Tree. We love it! ... Read More

7 Things every Bedroom and Guest Room Needs
We recently painted one of our guest rooms purple, with green wallpaper. I was asked if I was going to change the paint color so boys would like it too. To me color is color, and all the kids love it, because it is a room they can enjoy! That being said, if I stay in your guest room, I honestly could care less what color your walls are painted. All I care about is if the bed is comfortable, I have extra blankets and the temperature is adjustable, let's be honest, that we don't get too hot. Thought I would compile a list of the top things every bedroom and guest room should have! Thank you ... Read More
Christmas 2023 in Lola’s Bedroom
When we got home from Fall Break with the kids in Hawaii, it was about 35 degrees in Utah, we could see snow on the mountains by our house, and Lola's new Christmas tree was on our porch. So we did what one does after a red eye flight. We put up a Christmas tree. Lola was really excited to decorate for Christmas she said "hey google play Christmas songs" and we started! Her bedroom turned out pretty magical! We started by hanging garland over her window seat. Lola and Ella have the best view of the mountains, so we needed garland to highlight the view. I also had her window seat made ... Read More
5 Year Old Boys Room with Plaid Wallpaper & Puppy Posters
This week we gifted a bedroom makeover to our 5 year old nephew, Porter. We recently gave his younger sister, Evie a bedroom makeover after graduating from her crib. Oh, and let's not forget their parents bedroom! So we couldn't leave Porter without a bedroom refresh. And his bedroom turned out so good!!! Porter loves dogs and camping. We had found dog wallpaper that was really cute, but I was worried it would be too much of a theme, so we went with plaid wallpaper and accented with all the things he loves. We started with installing board and batten, then the room took off from ... Read More
Sisters Primary Bedroom Makeover- Nature Inspired
My sister-in-law just had a new baby (the cutest baby!!!) and we thought it would be fun to give their bedroom a makeover. Parents need a sanctuary for optimal rest and relaxation, to then be able to pour into everyone else! Their primary bedroom was nice, but it was missing that cozy feeling, which can be harder to achieve with really tall vaulted ceilings. We painted their walls dark, added a light fixture, swapped their rug for a rug that complimented the new colors and added the softest bedding. Wait until you see the changes! Thank you The Company Store for sponsoring this ... Read More
Our Drink Room Updates and If We Would Change Anything
Remember when I shared this room right after we moved in? I wasn't sure what we were going to call this room, and I wasn't sure exactly how we would use it. I knew we would use it for drinks, since we have the ice maker and sink, but I thought I might use it for plant care because of the utility sink in here. After a year and a half living with it, we use this room as our Drink Room. Basically, where we fill our cups with the best pebble ice, purified water, supplements, or to grab a sparkling water from the fridge, and make a warm drink. Ready for a tour? I will also share a few things I ... Read More
